Look. I'm the undisputed king of brake pad consumption and it goes a little sumptin like this...
Since we haven't seen your skinny butt on the track in uh well FOREVER, why don't you just go ahead and replace them and you won't have to worry about it for another YEAR or so!!!
And as for John...
Congrats on your first ViperDays Event. You are hereby given notice that you have been spoiled as other tracks and event sponsors have a hard time keeping up with Skip and the gang!!
Glad you enjoyed. Hope to see you again at the best Viper track events!
I used slaughterj's instructions for getting a date.
oh. uh. whatever. maybe the car stuff he's better at!!
HAHHAAA!!!
John I just had to bust on ya...
I'm sure your a pro with the small wrenches.
=-)
Oil was from my good friend Sonny Wheelen. Nobody plans on blowing a motor!
What a gracious guy!!!! He apologozed to me!! I lost one measly position in GT-2 and he lost an engine...
The caliber of people at Viper Days Events cannot be matched.
Very nice save in the high speed 'S'ess. Everyone get's bit in turn 4 sooner or later.
I was in red group but watching your video makes me vote that you are a great driver.
VIR challenges everyone and the only saving grace I have is that it's my home track.
Most events at VIR have some major...
Only those who didn't show up wimped out!! Where were YOU?! hmmm.
I ran GT-2 in the race group and although both races were exciting was bested by Jesse Reed in his firetruck... er 01 GTS.
In the Saturday race I spun at the top of the roller coaster in oil from a blown motor and got passed...
The weather was great. We had light sprinkles before the race on Sunday, but it was not even enough to cool things off.
We were expecting 40% showers Saturday and Sunday but they held off.
I'm convinced ViperDays has made a deal with the weatherman as SCCA events seems to get a lot of rain!
The event was awesome. Skip/Courtney/Tracey and the team insured everyone had a great time.
They fielded 15 Comp Coupes!!! Largest field ever. There were no major incidents to speak of and everyone went home happy.
Challenge series drivers were great and the VRL (CC, GT-1, GT-2) put 28 cars...
Re: What\'s a Viper racecar worth?
whoah there big dawg! I'm not debating you. I assume you've been to a ViperDays event or two so you know what it's all about.
They cost more because you have more track time, better food, and great instructors anytime if you want one. As a free bonus...
ah the ol' "banging and popping noise" excuse....
hehe
Weather is always great at VIR. Party cloudy, 70's to high 80's chance of isolated showers 30% on Saturday and Sunday.
Re: What\'s a Viper racecar worth?
The problem with a 95 is that it's a GEN I and the 7 year phase out in SCCA means it's end of life as a SCCA racecar. Also an RT is less desireable as a track car to some of the market. Still a great car, just not campaignable in SCCA. Would it be...
Re: What\'s a Viper racecar worth?
Bruce! I had almost forgotten why selling cars was such a fun experience. You must not race. Race cars are worth more than street cars net although usually take longer to sell. They have huge huge money and time invested which bottom line gets discounted...
What\'s a Viper racecar worth?
One thats legal for SCCA T1 and ViperDays GT2? I'd like to (who whouldn't) get a CC but the 2000 GTS would have to go first.
I think I'm being realistic, but what would you pay?
2000 GTS
nice cage
ACR suspension
ss brake lines
speedbleeders
radio system
Random...
Re: A Big Thank You to the
Joe! What are you thinking?!?!?!
Compliments do NOT belong in "Board and Site Questions/Suggestions" as they are not a question or suggestion.
Geeeeeeeesh! I guess I'm just going to have to start at the top and work down.
Aren't we just supposed to use the board...
I think your suggestion is a good one, but I wonder whether your posts have been deleted. It takes alot to be deleted and if you posted something and it never even entered your mind as questionable I really doubt it would be 'zapped'.
Possibly (which I maybe should have posted about before)...
Re: I\'m hosed. need ACR rear shock yokes for Viperdays in 2 weeks!
Doug, awesome offer and thanks! I beleive all of the pieces parts should arrive today. If not...
You'll be my first call!!
Re: I\'m hosed. need ACR rear shock yokes for Viperdays in 2 weeks!
Those on ebay are still there. It appears that the GTS yokes or 'forks' as some people lke to call them have acme threads and have a larger ID that the Koni ACR adjustables. Thus, an adapter of sorts with Acme OD threads and...
