Different days....too bad they couldn't get the Zr1 back out to test again. All taken with a grain of salt. At this kind of performance level just buy which car makes you the happiest. Viper hands down over the corvette for me.

Looks like it has a DCT too. I guess they found one to handle all the torque! If they can turbo the motor...surely dodge can! ;) not holding my breath.
Some of you guys are really sensitive and lacking a sense of humor. The part where they drew a gentlemen's sausage in a storm drain was hilarious. Also if you have ever watched the show it doesn't matter what car Hammond picks they always evicerate him and the car. It's just for ****s and...
Pirelli has tires that are as fast or faster then the cup tires. The corsa is much better in the rain. It's a better street tire. The trofeos are their cup tire competitors. They just aren't available in viper sizes yet.
If Ferrari and mclaren go hard for the record they acr will have no chance. Both cars will probably be under 2800 lbs with near 1000 HP levels and loads of down force. It was fun while it lasted. The acr will have its hands full with the pagani. Even that may prove to be too much.
You are welcome to your opinion I think the new C7 looks great. Every car has angles that make it look bad. The viper, to me has never photographed well, but is stunning in real life. I'm not going to judge the car yet. At this point it looks great and should be a great drive. I would...
Funny to hear C6 owners complain. Talk about a boring looking car.
The rear on the C6 was so plasticky and lacking any detail and the front head light surrounds...terrible. New car looks great!
- would love to see 100 more HP, 200lbs less weight, 1500+lbs of downforce, trofeo tires or MPCS, bigger steel brakes with brake cooling hoses and ducts, performance pads and fluid from the factory.
- what i think we will see 60 more HP, 100lbs less weight, 1500lbs of downforce, trofeo tires...
The Gen iv motor had about the same HP/liter as the ls7. If we use the ratio of the new ls motor in the c7 with DI I would expect a 8.4 liter DI v10 to make about 690. The 5.7 liter DI C7 is supposed to make about 470 so that's the ratio I'm using. To make 750+ I would guess you would need more...
No need to lecture on the issues with DOHC since everyone talking a obout it had already listed them...If you have a better way to hit 750 HP NA while meeting California emissions....I'm all ears. Your DI and compression increase won't do it.
Dohc engines of the same displacement are larger and weigh more so a DOCH 8 liter engine would not be in the cards, but DOHC is the best way to get 700HP+, meet emissions, and stay NA. Might need a smaller engine or different shape somewhat.
Viper should stay NA. It's better for racing and more durable when driven hard. Hopefully the acr gets a dry sump. I would rather see a NA DOCH engine in a road race terror before FI. The one-77 makes 740 or so with a NA DOCH 7.4 liter engine.
why most likely both or our cars are slower then that new Zr1 on track...that seems to be everyone's measuring stick so both are terrible apparently. ;)
Ralph posted on twitter recently it's only a packaging issue. He didn't mention anything about some astronomical cost. The dct is larger and wouldn't clear some part of the car.
