03 Viper DIY oil change?
TRUE! I have more than 10 'fitted'end cap oil filter wrenches (thanks to motorcycles....) but I find a Lisle oil filter 'removal' tool works really well. One size fits almost all. That's cool. I have no idea about acceptable sulphur content, NOACK volitility or total acidity number of any particular oil so I won't make an oil recommendation. I do know that the viscosity index does measure the viscosity change in motor oil as temperature changes - but I don't know what...- fireball

Anytime someone suggests a different oil than the manufacturer recommended oil type or viscosity - I always ask them what the piston ring end gap is and why it's that number. WHAT A BLAST AT THE TRACK ! I think I had the most fun I've had in a year at the track last night. What a riot. I spent a lot of the evening in a BMW 3 series doing powerslides - what a scream. If you get the chance to go on a wet racetrack.... DO IT! Man that was fun. Greg- fireball

SPOTTED Calgary ACR
On the weekend I saw a red black (red wheels too - maybe a Laguna Edition) ACR. I saw it very briefly going the opposite way from me. I saw it on MacLeod Trail, it was sad. Naked Viper Thrashed...
That's cool. It’s amazing how small the car looks! Also notice that he barely came off idle the whole time. Well… not really, but he sure didn’t need to rev it out! TORQUE! BTW, the car was hardly trashed! With the wet pavement it wasn't even that hard on the tires! Greg- fireball

OK. On Tuesday night I did some laps (well... A lap) at Race City on the Harley. It was fun but far from fast. When I pulled into the pits several folks commented on the 'scraping noises'. It's a fun bike, but it's no Gixxer! Greg- fireball

"Wet" track tires...?
In the linked thread I said they were terrible in puddles - that was before I added some pressure to the tires. The extra pressure makes a notable difference. Greg- fireball
