Re: ***No More Viper After 2009??***
Not to join in on the blah-blah but... I was wondering, with the upcoming FED requirements, if we wouldn't be faced with another late 1970-80's focus on MPG from the Mfg's. At any rate, I'll have an ACR in the garage and offset the mileage with the Scion!
Mark,
Just for clarification, the headers used for this test are NOT the same headers designed for the '06? Am I understanding this correctly?
Does this set-up use 2 or 4 cats?
Header primary diameter & collector size?
What size side-pipes? 3"?
Great numbers!! :2tu:
I'm needing to order seat lowering brackets but need to clarify the amplifier location on the '08s. Jon @ PartsRack said that one of his customers installed a 1" on an 08, stating that the amplifier was under the drivers seat (but Jon could not confirm, 1st hand).
Would you that have 2008's...
One tuner has made it clear that the exhaust ports on the Gen IV are much larger than the Gen III; and thus requiring a minimal 1 7/8 diameter header tube. Not that the Gen III won't fit; just that it will be bottle-necked by the previously available headers. I have not verified this myself; as...

I was hoping that was a "new/recent" photo; Indicating that the Classic Red had moved up in production order. That would be GREAT for me since I am waiting on the Red's production to start...
It really does look much different up close -vs- from a distance doesn't it?! Amazing when well lit. To me, the car looks the best from the rear 2/3 view.
I know that it all comes down to personal preference and I am pretty set on the drivers red stripe.
If you had to choose between the red/blk interior OR factory applied drivers stripe, which would you choose. Although not paint, the red stripe could easily be applied in high quality vinyl and...
That's me. I'm fine with it but would prefer the red/blk. I'll not complain because the car is still more than I ever imagined Dodge/SRT would provide!!! :2tu:
No, I was still waiting on confirmation that it was one in stock. I call them and the salesman said "no, but we have both a coupe & vert that should be here in the next week or two". He couldn't tell me what colors or options; as he didn't remember :dunno:
I saw that VR Coupe on ebay. There is...
Actually, I'd love to have the black/red interior! When I ordered mine in November, it was my understanding that BLACK was the only interior available in the ACR.
I understand that the 2" is fixed. I thought that I had read somewhere that the fixed position of the 2" was more forward than the full rearward position before the kit.
xlr8ion, I think that you and I are both going to have the longest 3-4 months of our lives, waiting on the ACR's delivery...
After sitting in an '08 coupe today, It is apparent that I will be needing to order seat lowering brackets for the ACR. My questions are:
1) Who makes the best kit?
2) Does the 2" move the seat forward more than the 1"? (I thought I had read that somewhere)
3) If #2 is YES, Which manufacture...
