There is supposed to be a retaining tab that can be bent a little to help hold them in. Also, make sure you really have the window all the way up. Hit the button more than once to make sure it is topped out. Make sure your vents in the rear are working correctly. Vent Fix
They are more stable for thermal expansion. That's why forged pistons can knock a little when they are cold. Cast gives you a better seal because you don't have to account for as much expansion.

I would sync the throttle bodies first just because it is easy. Maybe the battery is getting low and the car runs better after it gets charged back up a little?
