Re: Hello.....I\'m a New Member
Congrats, I bought mine for my 31st birthday - so good job.
Concerning the sidepipes, many of the aftermarket exhausts will increase flow and help to cool the sides. When you have them installed, you can also have them wrapped with an insulator.
Depending...
Re: Trade \'05 FX35 + cash for Viper SRT-10
Call Bill P. at woodhouse and see what he will give you on trade in. He dropped off my Viper and put my Nissan 350Z Roadster in the trailer. He didn't kill me on the trade, and especially considering how new your FX35 is, you should do OK.
I have a Tahoe that I use to pull a 5000 lb boat, and it does it with no complaints at all. Hills and highway are no problem, gas mileage, however, is not very good at all.
I get about 12 mpg hwy when towing.
I have the corsa, and to be honest I am a little torn. Huge difference in the amount of cabin heat (no crossover), but sometimes I find them a little bit loud. I am thinking of trying out the cone inserts.
However, there are other times when I love the sound. The adjustable bypass would be...
I was actually wondering about just inserting them in the sill. Do you need to weld it in place or just push real hard?
Can you put them in for a cruise with the wife and them take them out it you are heading to the track?
Sorry I can't give a price or any durability info, the car only has 3200 miles on it, and they were there when I got it. I have had the car on a lift and all the MD/VA guys that were there thought it looked like a first rate install.
I have the Aldan coilovers, they drop the ride height by about 3/4 inch. I have driven the stock SRT and don't find it to be all that different in general street performance. I have not taken the car to the track and have not put any pressure on the suspension yet.
I didn't install them, they...
That would be great, but for the time being I am happy to have some real information, rather than a motor trend article where they didn't really even drive the car.
I received the latest issue of Road and Track yesterday, and as chance would have it, they just happened to take the new Z06 and put it through it's paces.
"In terms of raw acceleration, the Zo6 is world-class quick, though not quite a match for its cross-town rival, the Dodge Viper SRT-10...
Standalone Cons
1: Face it, the car will never, ever, run as clean as it did on the stock ECU. Your stock ECU was developed by a team of some of the best tuners in the world with over 30 years of R&D of engine tunine behind it. With a EMS... you are starting from SCRATCH. Most modern...
Part 2
Here is my basic list of pros and cons of each system. However first I wanna preach some tuning. I own a shop, and a dyno... and I tune cars. While I am far from an authority on tuning... I am not new to it. One thing I feel is WAY too far overlooked is ignition timing control...
A lot of it comes down to just how much you want to spend and just how much HP/TQ you want.
Real Quick
SC: Cheaper and Easier. Less Powerful. Good bang for the buck and more simplistic.
TT: The reigning champion in terms of price and power.
More in depth (stolen from another site...
My neighbor just joined the waiting list for a black Z06. When it arrives we may be able to do a little head to head testing.
No matter what the Z06 runs I will still have something on it that is very important to me ... The ability to get a tan while driving on a nice day.
That alone was...
I experienced the same thing. I find the SRT to be easy to drive and relatively easy to toss so far, but I respect its power.
Like others I am coming from a background of sports cars, I also have some 4-wheeling/mud bogging experience - so I enjoy a nice slide every now and then.
I'm not...
Re: Who\'s Chemically Cooling their Paxton blower
Dan,
Sounds great, the main reason I went with coolingmist rather than Snow was the customer support. The system can be designed to fit just about any application and they will custom design a system for no extra charge. They were great to deal...
Re: Who\'s Chemically Cooling their Paxton blower
I used to run a water methanol setup on my SC 350Z. I ran a http://www.coolingmist.com/ single stage setup with a pressure switch triggering the injectors at 4psi.
It allowed me to run a higher psi along with an extra measure of safety. I used...
