While researching what braking system upgrades were possible on my newly acquired Countach, I learned (from company rep) that these MovIT braking systems are also far superior to that which is on the SRT-10's...
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of these braking system replacements...
How did it affect the sound once installed? Since removing the secondary cats it became much louder, especially at start-up... I was hoping it would tone down the burst of sound that happens when initially turning on car and ultimately provide a lower tone...
I am having local Vipertech install my Vortex cones next week... He said he had once removed a pair that was secured by some screws or bolts... Is this the correct way to install these or should they be welded into place?
I also assume they should be installed between the collectors and the...
If you take out both cats and you put it back on the street you will not be able to pass smog. At least with the primary cat you could pass if you really needed to...
If I retain the primary cat then I wonder where I should place cones... I thought I rememberd someone possibly saying just...
I removed the secondary cats from my SRT-10 and it is just a little to loud for me... It is like an explosion when I start up the car in the garage as the sound bounces of the walls...
I have a pair of Dynamax cones but not sure if these will be the right choice. I removed the secondary cats...
Turns out that I just drive the car locally and never have the need for cruise... I paid full price for it and have never installed it. Have all parts the way they came delivered (some still in separate bags) and placed all in box.
Anyone intersted go ahead and PM me.
Thanks. Mark
Dan,
Very useful info, thanks :2tu:
I had considered going forged but was also told that there are a number of items on the bottem-end that you might update as well if adding so much HP...
I go ahead with Vortex first and see how that sounds and install per you info.

That's a pretty good point. I guess next will be the vortex cones and see how that works out. Just wanted to make a decision on headers before I get Paxton along with tune.
If I get a new dyno after the Vortex cones I will post the difference (reduction) if any.
I read that link in the past, had some good info. I am looking to see if there was any updated info now that a number of people have been running with headers for while.
Is there a reason why you would wait to do the headers at the time of Paxton? Not being too familiar with the Paxton...
Looking for any opinions/experiences with adding non-factory headers to a 2004 SRT that already has Corsa Track without the crossover. I also have deleted the two rear cats to further reduce sill heat.
The car is a little loud for me at the moment (when starting up in the garage it blows you...
Anyone know how the one offered at Partsrack is the same or different (which is better)?

Upgrade your SRT-10 with this silver 2-piece dash and center console replacement. Installs easily with...
I was thinking of doing something similar my hood as well... I was thinking about either what you did or painting it similar to the side fader strip... I think I saw a Silver SRT with the hood vents starting off black and then fading into silver... Both look good.

Chris,
Thanks for the picture of the wheels... After looking at them I think the chrome looks better...
Ever see the carbon fiber boot cover on the Silver SRT?
Mark
Ken,
As far as I know it should be able to be removed... not sure about whether the paint will look slightly off from the rest after being in the sunlight over time once removed...
You can get it from www.autoformgroup.com

I have a '04 SRT-10 with black fader vinyl stripping across doors and am considering two things:
1) Wonder what the stock rims would look like if done like what comes with the yellow SRT-10's I have seen (what was done to these rims to make them look black and do you think it looks better than...
The one I purchased was from www.griotsgarage.com and is called "Battery Manager Junior II. It has three indicator lights: ac power, charging, maintain. The instructions said:
Charging mode: on when connection to battery is proper and it charges battery to ~14.4Vdc then transitions into the...
Two questions:
(1) What is the downside of using Power Saver Mode?
(2) When you connect the battery trickle charger, can you connect the positive to the terminal post in the engine compartment rather than to the battery in the trunk (assume so)...
Thx.
I would also be interested in what solved your problem since I am also in the process of installing the Racelogix TC as well...
I told my Vipertech about using the #1 ignition Signal Wire to get RPM... Maybe we can also talk to Dodge and see if there is any other way to connect to Tach (to get...
Looking to do similar as far as CATS...
Currently have Corsa w/o crossover and looking
to replace the 4 CATS with 2 RT non-ceramic (already have in box).
Anyone have experience with replacing the 4 stock CATS? I was told that the 2nd (or upper CAT nearest to headers) would require some...
Dave,
What is the difference between the standard Paxton Supercharger System and the DLM Upgrade?
I was looking into adding the Paxton to my '04 SRT-10 (stock with Corsa Track w/o crossover)... Since I'm in Vegas and not local to DLM, just wondering if I can get the same upgrade locally...
Dan,
Thanks. I will have my local Viper Tech call you for any assistance (works at one of the local Dodge dealers here in Las Vegas).
Thanks again,
Mark
Dan,
Unfortunately, they already ordered the RB-1 and are installing it now...
I am interested in thr Sirius Satellite Radio but the dealer is also not sure how to install properly since there is no specific install kit for Viper (cable length)...
Does the satellite require a separate head...
