I thought the SRT Paxton kit only produced 8 1/2 psi. How do those GA cars produce more?
All the numbers I have seen are also around 650 RWHP for stock Paxton and up to around 700 if other changes are included (headers, catback, etc).
So do I take it that prior to new heads being installed you had no pullover issue?
I see no reason that at idle that the pcv system would not create a vacuum in the crankcase. It sounds like something is wrong with the pcv system. The only time the Paxton should affect it is under boost (and...
Well I may not be in your Viper faithful, but I bet I have more "Viper" in me than you have. And probably owned Vipers over a longer period of time. That aside my choice in cars is mine. And I need no naysayers constantly berating my purchasing decision. Your choice to buy or not buy is yours...
Well, Brian E I am sure glad we have you (and a few others that like to toot the same horn) to tell us what "WE the Viper faithful" wanted. Without your words of wisdom people like me just would have no idea what to like or dislike. That I cannot tell a "turd" from an appropriate version of the...
Why would you pay list price? You have the same ability to deal with the dealer as you always do. I would guess the majority would sell at or near invoice.
So let's see:
S stands for Street . As in the Corvette Z06 is the faster Street car.
R stands for Racing . As in you need to do $5000 worth of modifications to do ANY realistic track time (Comp Coupe swing arm pick-up and oil pan, Comp Coupe or Quaife differential, roll bars). None of...
How about clarifying the locked trunk release directions (maybe even pictures of the connectors you are speaking of). That would be great to copy and place in the glove box for future reference.
Great response Chris. Glad that you did not stoop to his level and that you clarified the "no inside knowledge" point, indicating yours is glass half full speculation rather than the normal glass darn near empty perspective prescribed here.
One VERY important point. Do not tighten any of the shock bolts until the vehicle is at ride height(weight on the suspension). To do this I placed blocks under the rotors and allowed the weight to transfer to the suspension. If you do not the shock mounts will be binding and the ride height will...
While the other theory is that condensation is the problem and the operating temperature during engine idling will never reach peak temps to burn the condensation. Hence, the theory is do not attempt to start the car until you are ready to take it for a long drive.
I agree. Oil film will...
Is it from both side pipes or more from one?
I had the opposite condition due to a faulty O2 sensor causing the engine to run lean on the right bank only. Possible that it could fail in a different manner as well. Just a thought.
Car:
2004 Ferrari Enzo
Description:
41 year old driver was killed after losing control of his Enzo at 150 MPH. The impact was so great that it tore the car into several pieces. Locals reported having seen and heard an Enzo being driven very hard the day before. Most likely it was the same car...
I agree. And if I recall correctly they required the fixed roof to gain back enough stiffness to be "close" to the base steel framed vette. That really is where design comes into it. How to make it lighter while retaining the stiffness or torsional rigidity. From some of the magazine reviews it...
The Luk clutch is an upgrade of sorts for a '93. It is the same as used in Gen II's (1/4" larger disk). Works well with the original flywheel so a change is not required. Should be good to go for 500hp. More than 550 hp I would start looking for an upgrade.
