    Stock heat shiels with Belanger headers?

    Isn't the coating on Belanger headers warranteed only if you DON'T reinstall the heat shields? I didn't put mine back on because I know someone posted that warrantee restriction here a while back. Granted, I would rather sacrifice the header coating over lighting up my ps reservoir.....

    Everyone make it home safely from VOI?

    No problems on the way back from us. Car ran great all the way to VOI and back to Chicago, and at a couple legs of the trip we averaged 29mpg! We even made a little side trip on Sunday to watch the F1 race in Indy. Excellent event, and we look forward to driving to the next VOI.

    backfire problems?

    Mine does the same thing (Roe Racing high-flow cats). Everything's welded, no band clamps. As TTBADBOY said, I only find this happens when the clutch is engaged and I'm slowing down. Clutch in = no backfire. I like it, but I always get a mental picture of Uncle Buck......

    Follow Steve's comment and don't put the heat shields back on. Belangers are already coated and I believe you'll ruin the coating if you re-install the shields.
