    According to a reliable source (allpar member oh20) SRT plans to build 3000 vipers for the 2014 MY to make up for fewer units produced in the 2013 MY.

    I'd have to guess that they attach a high price to the paint job to keep it more exclusive. they just need to expand the lineup of premium colors... A deep green with a golden base like Stryker Red would be gorgeous... cough cough.

    IIRC they reduced the electronic delay from 400ms to 20 in the Gen V. They have to have a tiny delay in order to integrate the throttle into all of the software that uses its position as an input.

But you keep bringing up a moot issue: If there wasn't enough money in SRT's engine budget to develop a EPA/CARB-certified 750-hp engine, then there simply wasn't the money to develop it, no matter what future customers...

    Hey mark, I was wondering if any of your customers have scheduled an exhaust upgrade for the Gen V. If so, you should ask them to make a video of the sound, I'm curious to hear how the new snake sounds with a freer-flowing setup.
