I've been weighing the turbo vs supercharger upgrade, but I think I might just go with a paxton kit. What kind of hp numbers are you guys making on 96-99 cars that are stock except exhaust? This is on pump gas of course. Also if you added headers, what was your power increase?
Found a good set of wheels. The tire date reads manufactured end of 07, but i think the tires have only been in service for 3 years. They are soft and appear almost new. no dry rot. They were well taken care of. Car they were on was kept in climate controlled garage. Should I be concerned...
I'm not a fan of kits that use a front mounted intercooler. I live in Florida (aka hot as hell) and I'm well aware of cars that were not originally designed for turbos that have front mount intercoolers with aftermarket turbo kits. Those cars overheat in traffic and always are trying to band...
Yeah I'm definitely thinking about the turbo setup. I was thinking a twin 61mm Turbonetics setup with HPC wheels and water cooling. I have a good friend that can custom weld the piping and exhaust manifolds out of very good metal.
Switch between 93 octane, 110 leaded, C16, and E85. I'm not...
I'm not looking to make record top end power, but would like the ability to switch between fuel types without a big hassle. If I made 800 rwhp that would be more than enough. I actually think 700 rwhp might suffice for anything I will be doing. Anyone had both to compare and which size turbos...
I live in balmy south Florida and I was told that I should try and reduce the humidity in my car especially the interior. Anyone put damp rid in the interior ???? I'm also thinking about putting a dehumidifier in the garage as well.
Possibly looking to get a set of used 18 inch stock wheels. Can the SRT big brake kits be used with them? Any difference in mounting them other than the obvious?
I almost purchased that car from the 2nd owner last February. Car looks good! How do you like it power wise? I remember he supposedly had some very nice heads put on that car
The purpose of the original post was to provide a metahpor, in that a crude device could disprove the size comparison of 2 supposed equal size tires. Apparently you didn't get that.
Like I said, insightful, yes! People skills, no! :rolaugh:
