Re: \'Long\' vs \'Short\' oil filters
Wild Dude -
The latest on the oil filter study can be found here -
http://www.minimopar.net/oilfilters.html
It does back up the Fram quality issues, especially the email from the Allied Signal engineer that worked on the Fram production line.
However...

If the filter were more expensive or there was something significantly different in the design of a long vs short filter which didn't make the long filter as efficient, then I'd agree with you. However, in the case of the Mobil 1, there's no...

Thanks for that. Since mine is a Gen I, not a problem. And I assume you've had no problems with clearance as the engine torques around within the motor mounts.
Of course, it then begs the question, will the old right angle filter adapter allow Gen...
\'Long\' vs \'Short\' oil filters
Recently, I decided to take my '70 340 Duster out of mothballs. While working under the car, I noticed the right angle oil filter adapter and the long (Purolator PER 1A) filter I last mounted. It got me to thinking, could I mount a 'long' oil filter (say a...

Thanks. I saw JonB's reply in another note - maybe he'll take pity on me and let me know about the studs and close out moulding (though Bob Woodhouse is researching it for me as well).
The top was one of the free ones from Chrysler for having attended the Monterey invitational. Hard to beat the...

After discussing this with Bob Woodhouse (who just called me to discuss the problem personally - thanks Bob!) you probably don't need the moulding to mount the soft top. You may not even need the pad (but the aesthetics of not having the pad with the top off is questionable). You will...
Thanks Steve.
I think there are at least four bolts - based on the holes in the pad. Two to hold the pad onto the sport cap and two that the soft top attaches to. But I can't tell if these four are the same or not. Can someone send me a digital photo of the underside of their sport cap pad...
HELP!
Five years ago my former dealer installed the factory hardtop on my 94 RT/10. At the time he returned the sport cap pad to me and I put it away. Returning to the US after a four year stint in England and new twin boys I finally decided to take the hardtop off so I could run topless for...
