Autoform...not sure if it's the newest for the SRT or not...as it's been on the car for at least 4 yrs.
It doesn't pass any tech inspection for 1/4 mile racing. But it does for light road racing and standing mile events.
I've raced the car in the 1/4 and standing mile.
Here you go. As you can see mine are wrapped in leather to match the interior. Originally, I had them removable because they rubbed on the stock soft top framing. Now that I've adjusted the fitment of the rollbar, I had them permanently glued/wrapped...
These SS kits look great...as does my Lemke hardop!!! I know there are very few of these on the road, but has anyone run theirs in a high speed application...like a standing mile event? I know when researching aftermarket spoilers and fascias, the first thing I was told was to remove them...
ILO the wheels spacers. I'm assuming that a more aggressive wheel/lip can be designed to fill out the extra body width? These SS's would look look sick with a 7" lip in the rear.
Yep. You're the 4th person that I know of (not including me) who has had that problem. I guess the problems weren't limited to my "free" defective hood.
^^^ This is a good real world summary. Make sure the underside webbing of the hood doesn't contact the intake manifold. After all the work the body shop did to make this hood a keeper, there was no way around it rubbing on my nicely polished intake.
Same concept as clear-bra, but it's not as thick. It does tear/nick with enough contact. After 6 months of having it, one trip to the 1/4 mile and the Texas Mile...I hade 3-4 pieces replaced in a few hours. But it is easy to clean-up....as I just use windex and a micro-fiber towel.
I did mine with the Woodhouse/MGW shifter....thanks Mark.... So far so good. With the Mcleod clutch, the engagement is a little different compared to the T56, but I love it. The true test will be the next Texas Mile, to see how 5th holds up to 1300 rwtq.
