    V10KingSnake, I am sure I dont have your knowledge but I know that the switch is NOT defrost related, it is the liftglass ajar switch, of course if you put it all the way up the strut it wont work... there is a connection inside the switch that tell the alarm management system if the lift glass...

Hi crazyspeed, once you have your struts (were ever you bought them...)here's a small tip about installing them, before taking the old ones, on the lower left strut there is a plastic device (alarm switch). Make sure when you take it off the old one to take mesures in order...

    Hi Yankee, I did mine last fall, took the hanger and rubber off, loosen all clamps and slide them down the pipes, dont forget the muffler hanger. Spray some lubricant (WD-40) on all pipe joints, then take a 15 minutes break... : Use a rubber mallet and start tapping at the muffler/tail pipe...

    Hi JWBond, if you plan on changing your speakers, remember that there is also a tweeter in the door, you need to remove door trim to replace these (easy task 7 scews, 1 push in style plastic clip). In the meantime fix you rattle. Front speaker are 2 way (bass and mid range sound) paper style...
