Good deal to that Nsane1, I agree completely, when I read the article on how it was the same motor I was sick. You would think for transfiguring to the coupe, like they did in 96 that DC would at least bump in to 550 along with better handling suspension. Personally I hope they drop some weight...
Where I herd it from are a few good sourses on this board and other sourses about the 07 car. Which makes sence because while nice this 500 motor needs some upgrading... quick. It's also my personal hope that they do what they need to get the power while keeping the 9:1 compression and also...
Awesome Vid, car sounds really healthy. And with all the SVS supply parts avliable to the car, keeping it "on track" should be no problem. I like how you mentioned the weight reduction less weight = better braking, faster cornering, faster acceleration less engine stresses. :) Again awesome...
You Wish, I think I recall you posting a story how a guy in an older muscle car kept asking and asking to race you at a light. So you finally gave in and did. Then beat him and he was all upset or pretended not to care or something? Do I have you right? If so... score another for the Vipers :2tu:
I also herd that for 07 the car would receive alot more power and upgrades. And who knows maybe better suspension and all like an "ACR" sort to speak. Hopefully the new car will have at least 550 or 600 HP... with forged internals and a good 9:1 compression ratio like the pre 2000's which will...
Speaking of notes... i'm in the note selling busines, If a note was to be created from a sale on this car, I could have it sold to a note buy in no time.
yeah yeah... viper killer this... and viper killer that. Companies especially GM for years have been flaunting media news about a new "wonder car" that will be the end all of high performance cars but what... NOTHING. As long as DC stays on the game things will look brite for the Viper. Honestly...
Re: UPDATE: Pic of Paolo Castellano\'s DIY TT InterCooler
Thats the idea alright, the cooler it is the better it works. :) And all I can say to anyone else that might doubt Paolo... talk to him yourself it's simply basic real world results and explanitions no BS needed :2tu:
Actually I can feel for Graphite, I mean come on... maybe not with cars but with other things in life we've ALL been in those situations. Where we think it's impossible situation and someone comes along with a simple solution to help us out. Like when I worked at a bike shop and parents come in...
I'm dead on with Viper GTS-R I thought it was talking about the Dodge Ram six wheeled truck. IF that was the case... man alive thats one extreamly fast truck!
Saw Chad's car up close an personal at the track :D what a MONSTER that thing is. And all I can say is that motor is ANYTHING but stock, the only way you'd tell it was a "viper motor" was the standard red valve covers he had on it.. thats it.
P.S. I spot a FE GTS and a sliver srt -10 at a...
If you can afford it... go with one of these DIY TT systems coming out, both Heff and Paolo have very nice set ups coming out, and Paolo I must say is doing an exellent job as well(intercooler pics on another post) And my buddies car with the first Heff DIY system 10.87 @ 130 totally stock...
Re: David\'s aka
Awesome run! I had to play it with no sound but i'm guessing that big bounce from shifting from 1st to second must have felt harsh? Anyway great video, however keep an eye out for Paolo... ;)
Re: UPDATE: Pic of Paolo Castellano\'s DIY TT InterCooler
Paolo sure knows what he's doing all right. Man, you could cool down a full scale production power plant with that thing. :D
Or... well actually this will open up a huge can of worms and it's been quite some time since i've explained this but i'll do my best. Origionally you needed a STATE licence plate only to show that they owned the vehical until you paid off the sales bill from the dealership. IF you could pay off...
Re: Jersey Shore Run - July 9th, 2005 Who\'s In???
If it continues, count me in. Alot of you most likely dont know me as i've been "behind the scenes" you could say for a while. However I have great info to share with everyone here on the east coast. As well as i'm here since seperating from...
Those are all really nice HP levels. OR... if you could find a way to fit one of our C-130 prop engine in one then you'd really be set. With up to 16,000 out-put shaft HP and TQ on tap, just find axels strong enough to handle and your buddies will think your 1/4 mile times are really your 60 ft...
More proof that most guys think with the wrong head, or are like a bus stop... if you get on with the wrong one, just get off at the next stop and wait a few minutes...another will roll by to "pick you up"
haha, sorry couldnt pass that opertunity up
keep an eye out for the vid coming...
It's amazing how much "details" you have to factor in to get an eficient system to work top level while also not hammering down on the motor. Even though the basic concept is "Air in....Air out" still alot of much needed factors for good operation. But once it's all built and tuned right that...
I know at the track some guys will do both numbers 2,3,and 4 depending on how hot the car got or if something needs to be checked. I'd recommend it if possible and you had the time, especially a fully open hood for maximum heat ventilation. Although in some cases, and an example is throwing hot...
Hmm, well after speaking with Paolo, looks like he's got a good combination going so far. Should be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks/months....
Paolo:
I agree 100% with the upgrade idea, and glad you factored that in because well just like anything else if you buy a house... you want a bigger house. If you buy a DIY TT kit well.... you'll want a "bigger" DIY TT kit :D In any case there was something else I wanted to run by you, so...
Rear end or "pumpkin" are other names for it. Or as I have herd it referenced to many times as... "the ball lookin thing in the middle of the axel when you look under the rear of the car". Also when you hear or see fourms that mention 3.55 or 3.07 gears ratios and all. The pumpkin or "ball...
