    E-Brake relocation

Achilles99, Call JonB and order a set from him. Then take a look at the posted link in the first post. It looks pretty easy, I'll report back later today to verify as I'll be installing mine later this afternoon.

    E-Brake relocation

Anyone have a picture of an e-brake relocation bracket installed? Having a hard time visualizing how it goes. NM, search FTW! http://forums.viperclub.org/srt10-srt10-coupe-discussions/625910-e-brake-relocation-instructions.html

    Green Filters

Well, I got a set of these along with many other trinkets to install. After looking at them, it just doesn't seem that they will fit in the stock airbox. For anyone who has made them fit, what was the trick? Did you flatten them out somehow?

How do I open a 96 GTS PCM?

Ugh, that blows. I wonder if it's to protect the PCM from vibration etc, or to protect proprietary design of the board?

    FFFFF TTT!!!! Sound

Guy, does your car go above 4,500 RPM without issues? My saga below: Mine was making strange puffing sounds when it was cold, I thought the drivers side manifold had a leak. Then, the car started acting wierd in the upper RPM ranges, almost like a rev limiter kicked in at 4,500 RPM. I...

    Viper in the mud

Put my car in the mud once... Went to a gun range in Melbourne FL to shoot trap, I was over there to visit some family and had some time to kill. I get to the range, and it's all dirt roads and grass parking. I should have realized that it had been monsooning over there for the better part of...

Car is finally coming home this weekend! Here's a teaser sample of the rebadging!

I've heard of folks running forced induction tend to remove the "pickles" from the Belangers, did you? Just wondering.

Most unhappy day with the Viper

He was a valiant hammer. He performed his duty, right till the end. Your life was cut short, rest in peace friend. Purchased 09/01/2009 15:25 Deceased 09/01/2009 18:40 What a travisty... I wonder if AutoZone will take it back... :)

Most unhappy day with the Viper

Martin, thanks for the tips. I tried it on the drivers side. I heated up the outside pipe behind the muffler and kept the inside part wrapped in a wet towel. After a couple minutes, I used my ( now wrecked, RIP ) deadblow hammer and a piece of 2x4 to start seperating the joint. Funny thing...

Most unhappy day with the Viper

From the first post... Thanks for the thought though :) Well, I got everything off without resorting to the saw. Hell, getting the crossover out in one piece was a walk in the park compaired to that damn passenger side muffler! Is there any real value to the stock exahust?

Most unhappy day with the Viper

I found a relay down in my drivers sidesill. I can guess how it got down there, and that it was just easier on my "Viper Tech" to go grab a new one off the shelf and say "F it, he'll never know".... Omron 21911C 05269988AA Only one person worked on my car since I've owned it, and *I*...

Most unhappy day with the Viper

That's not a trick, that's cheating! I may decide to go that route if I don't make any progress on it tonight.

Most unhappy day with the Viper

Well, this has got to be the worst day of Viper ownership for me... Who the hell came up with the idea of putting that @&^#@$* little 10mm nut all the way up there in the sidesill!!! One down, one to go... need more beer... And yes, I'm putting a "hole" for a 10mm socket at the notch so I...

    Damaging some ego's maybe

I get somewhat annoyed at the people who, on a dbl lane road will ride up real close and get in the middle of the divider to take a better look. Then there's the ones that follow you home... Had this happen twice so far. Both mid-40s females. The one lived down the street from me at her...

    Christmas in August

I'm pretty sure that the only thing that's going to be noticable are the rims... But will do. I hope that grey color works for me. It's going to suck to take them off again to get them powder coated black. Yeah, the box with the side pipes is off to the left, just too big to fit in the picture.

    Christmas in August

Well, after about 2 weeks of receiving packages I *think* everything is finally here! I figure I'll set aside a few hours after the lawn on Saturday to throw this stuff on the car... As a side... Which shop tool does Lou love the most? The Tig, or the box stapler? At first sight of...

MGW shifter with stock shaft and know

Have you taken a look from the bottom of the shaft? Looking with a flashlight down the threaded hole, there looks like an allen bolt head down there... I'm not sure though, as it's really hard to tell. You'd need a long allen wrench to reach down there if it is.

    PartsRack Fails Again!

So, last week I decided to do a bit of upgrade shopping. I've been saving up for awhile, and called PartsRack to place an order. I had an idea of what I wanted to get, and John really helped me out with the information I was after. When it was all said and done, I ended up buying: Set of...

Buying a Viper with a Lien

I bought my Viper on fleabay back in 2007. The guy listed the car as having a clear title... It did not, and a local bank had a lein on it. I grilled the guy about it when I found out, but decided to get the car anyway. I had my bank make out two cashiers checks, one to his bank, and one to...

    Seat lowering brackets

I spoke with Jon at partsrack today about various stuff. One of the things I was interested in was a seat lowering bracket kit for my 2005 that wouldn't restrict the front/back movement. I was directed to another vendor as Jon was unable to supply the kits. Now, I'm not much of a stingy...

    Anybody in the Tampa Area

Sure, be happy to. FWIW, I've owned my viper for about 2 years now, and do my own scheduled maint oil etc.... so I'm by no means an expert. I suspect I would be able to find any of the typical issues & report the general condition.
