Anyone notice that the canards on the facia seem a little high? I think they should be lower and a little farther forward.
This car is definitely unique...
The door harness is no big deal. Fairly easy to remove. Just cut out the old wire and splice in new wire. Solder if you can or use crimp connectors.
Or you can call Jon B at the Partsrack and see if he has any used ones...
Looks like a Viper shopping cart, like the ones for little kids...
Aerodynamically speeking, I don't understand the necessity for the excessive height. The front end on that car has to lift and get floaty at speed.
If the VOI won't have the support of a large Corporate sponsor, why not bring in a number of smaller sponsors at less cost to each. Here's some ideas (pick one from each category):
Eagle One/Meguiar's/Mother's: Show and Shine
Motul/ATE/Pyroil Brake Fluid: Autocross
Brembo/Baer/StopTech...
If I had to SWAG it, I'd say your radiator is 1"-1.5" thicker than stock. It may work with my set-up if I moved the intake and filter back to the stock position but with the current set up, there's no way it would work.
When I swapped out my stock radiator for another stock radiator, I got by...
If they are annoyed by it, there's always that ignore button in the Control Panel...
I'd rather have you (or any other vendor) jump into a thread with a recommendation then have a bunch of off subject ads from un-related companies like on some other forums I have seen.
You're welcome for...
Not to de-rail this thread but as a supporting vendor, shouldn't you be able to sell/recommend stuff that people may need in a thread? I mean, that's kind of why you pay to be a supporter.
My $.02
Back to the oil leak... Buy the larger oil pan from someone, especially if it is a turbo car.
Isn't the opposite of reducing lift producing downforce? :hmmm: :D
According to this: "The diffuser itself does not actually create downforce..." I guess not.
Great article. It explains a lot!
This would be easier to explain if I could draw a picture...
The air coming in from the front of the car creates pressure. Without a diffuser, that air is free to migrate out the back of the car at any speed and/or pressure. You also create turbulence at the rear end of the car. By adding a...
The main purpose of the diffuser is to add rear downforce at speed. The diffuser makes for a cleaner flow of air underneath and out the back of the car.
I can only find Tee fittings in the catalogs I have. You may look at your local hardware store. They may have a selection of different brass fittings.
GM makes a plastic Y fitting but it's 3/8". Part # 14046514.
Here are the photos of the final product:
It's a really tight fit and could use some tweaking but it seems to be functional.
An added benefit is that it takes the filter out of the NACA duct and allows air to flow straight over the radiator and engine, which can potentially...
Well, it took me more than a month but here are the pictures of my painted logos:
My picture taking skills leave a lot to be desired but hopefully you get the idea.
Its black with a pearl red overlay. My stripes will eventually be painted this color as well.
So I decided to spend my Saturday working on the Viper (again). I actually mades some progress this week and would like to share the following:
I was standing there with the hood open mentally preparing myself for what lie ahead. I have been trying to come up with a better air intake for my...
My input is don't do it.
When you cut a spring you introduce heat into the metal potentially changing the molecular properties of the spring. It may not perform to OEM specs once it's cut. It can also make the metal brittle and more likely to crack. I say buy a set of Eibachs. They can be...
Thanks for blocking out my "pink" license plate...
Great pics!!! What kind of camera were you using?
Please note... No yellow cars! :lmao: :lmao2:
