    While searching (this line just for phil)... I've noticed that some have removed their airbag warning and others have covered with those humorous decals. (I find humor in the existing one that tells you the safest place for a child is the back seat... I guess I'll bungie my kid to the trunk...

    Thanks for the replies... Are you talking about the sport hoop access cover? I'll pop it off and take a peak in there tonight. DMAN - I also have the service manual on CD and can't find any reference to that specific latch. If you find it shoot me the page number.

    There is a latch that holds the top in the down position (lever on the driver side to release) It is referred to as the downstack latch in the owners manual. It seems to be VERY loose and not engaging on my car. Does anyone think this is an issue with driving with top down... will the trunk...

    New info... I traced one of the wires... it leads behind the rear bumper to a long tube... Looks like an LED light kit.

    08 hoods SUCK!!!!

    They look pretty good on other Mopars... Magnum, Charger, and Ram's have pulled it off... but agree looks completely out of place on a Pontiac. Not to mention Pontiac completely ruined the GTO brand with their last model IMO.

    Nothing except the funky lettering in the picture. And they are trademarked lol. I doubt they have laser diffusers since the sensor is behind the bumper. I have a valentine one I was planning to use. So if it's some old radar only system... I may just tear it out.
