    Disadvantages of East Coast Vipers???

    Northeast or Southeast? Southeast is very safe as we have basically no winter compared to the rest of you guys, iced up roads maybe once or twice a year here in GA. No snow other than an inch or two and that usually occurs in March for about a day or two and it's gone.

    The 16K figure is total factory production, no telling how many are no longer on the road due to being destroyed in wrecks.

    Refinishing valve covers?

    Powdercoating works fine, it's finding a shop that knows what they are doing. Most shops sandblast the parts for coating and that can't be done with magnesium. The VC's must be chemically stripped and then coated. Engine paint also works as many have color changed their VC's.

    Results: Polishing Valve Covers (Pics)

    Slowing the oxidation process by not leaving the shined magnesium exposed to air. Good Luck, I gave up polishing and touching up mine. But it is true about the oxidation statement. It'll help prolong the polishing by keeping it coated but it's not permanent.

    I really like the overall car, but the top side/edge of the front fascia is not flowing (if that makes any sense) with the car. It in no way detracts from that beast but it's the only piece I think could be smoothed out a bit. Very nice SRT!

    Polish Mag Valve Covers?

    First off those VC's are magnesium and will oxidize from the inside out. All the polishing and sanding is no good because of the properties of magnesium. They will gray/oxidize over again. Other than powder coating the logo or VIPER a different color or high heat painting a contrasting color...

    Quick consensus - Mobil 1 filter or Mopar?

    The Mopar filters are the Mobil 1 filters and you can buy them by the case on E-Bay, cheap. Another such example is that the Mopar performance exhaust for Vipers is Borla.

    FYI, The Mopar Oil filter is made by Mobil-1 and no you can't harm the engine by using the correct grade synthetic or blended oil.

    3M SHINE PICS

    I love the 3M stuff! I use the Perfect-It Show CAr Liquid Wax #39026 and finish it off with their Perfect-It Gloss Enhancer #39034 and it looks and last great. The problem with the stuff is it's only available around here at Automotive Body Shop Paint Supply shop called Auto-Color...

    Windshield Wiper Motor acting strange... anyone have this happen to them?

    No this is not a quick fix, it's a claim unless you want to fork out $400 for a passenger side wiper motor. These wiper motors have blade position sensors that indicate the position of the blade to each motor to prevent collisions. When a motor goes bad it quits sending a signal to the good...
