Just a remark. For those with Eibach springs, the rear springs lower the car more than the front ones , because the wheel gap is larger in the rear to begin with. The end result is that the car "sits back" more than a stock car, it's actually flat on the groung, wheras the stock car has a...
I vote for the 844Rs,
But keep in mind that these wheels have a very "open" design, and therefore reveal a lot of your rotors and calipers. If you have the stock brakes, with rusty one piece rotors the result may be disapointing, unless you upgrade to SRT fronts on all wheels with Euroteck rotors..
Now, as you are driving a Viper in France you will have to be sure your transmission has the correct culminators. Look at the tranny bell right behind the engine (right under the plug coils). You want to see a Reddish Pink tag market FX (France Export). If the tag is blue (or not tag) you will...
Thanks Dan for your comprehensive answer to my question.
I did get your email but you problably didn't get mine. (It seems that everything coming from France is a threat to US National Security ).
Anyway, you've convinced me that going supercharged is a simple and effective way to get extra...
Sorry if I break the mood, but besides bringing loving families together, could you comment on the effect on the car: Drivability, low end torque versus top end , Is it a worthwile modification considering the cost.
Specifically with a 5 lbs boost; any downsides...
Thank you.
I'm a little off subject here, but could you describe the benefits of adding a roe blower with the limited boost due to creampuff pistons? Is it worth the 10k or so? I own a 2001 RT/10 and I'm thinking of going along the same road...
A question for those who run this set-up:
Do you compensate rear wheel height with smaller tires (355/25/19) or keep the stock SRT tires, meaning the rear end of the car will be higher than stock and the speedo will underestimate the speed?
Thanks everybody, and Dave in particular, you've answered all of my question except one:
If you decide to go with SRT10 rears (with 19 " wheels), you cannot go back to the OEM 18" Wheel, correct?
Tom, my car is a 01 with ABS and 43mm calipers.
Hello everybody,
I fully understand the process of fitting SRT front brakes on a Gen 2, but I'm lost for the REAR brakes on a ABS car.
Dave has a kit to move the Front OEM brakes to the rear but you have to use spacers with OEM 18" wheels, and saw part of the car to fit the bracket, and then...
Hello Cayman,
Nice pictures !!
How about creaking noises when driving on eneven roads?
PS: you should contribute to the "Ultimate Wheel Thread" with the first pictures. Are these CCW 505A?
