No on performance. Bill, I hope you are right that there is a horsepower increase coming. When that happens, I'll revisit getting one of the new coupes. But I can't stand the idea of getting a Viper that will be outshined by a Corvette.
No coupe for me. I could have grown to like the looks of it, but with no performance enhancements to beat the new Z06, what's the point of getting the Viper?
I will probably end up getting one of the new Z06's.
Re: What Daimler-Chryster Owes Itself
I think what I may do is find an SRT-10 lease that I can take over for a year and wait to see what happens for the following year. If there's been a HP increase (or whatever) in the Viper, I can get a new one at that time, and if there hasn't, I can find a...
Re: What Daimler-Chryster Owes Itself
Alice, I think you're right that if that article is correct, it won't be satisfactory to most of us. I know it won't be to me. But at least I'll know that a 2006 Viper coupe is not in my future, and I can make an informed decision about what to do next...
Re: What Daimler-Chryster Owes Itself
Alice, I think you make your point very articulately. However, I don't view this issue as what DC owes anyone arising from their current ownership of a Viper. Each of us made the decision to get a Viper over some other alternative. I was happy with that...
Snakesster is right. The whole point of building a Viper is not just to sell the 2000 cars they make a year, or whatever it is. You build the Viper as a marquee to bring attention and respect to the brand. The Viper filled that role perfectly when it had BOTH the great looks and superior...
I will have a very hard time justifying getting one of these unless the horsepower is increased to beat the new Z06. I am not thrilled with the idea of going back to a Z06, but I feel like I may be forced into it by DC's failure to retain its status as "king of the hill." I have my fingers...
Regrettably, JD Farmer is no longer at Marietta Dodge. He is now working at a BMW dealership, but for warranty work that won't do for you.
With JD gone from Marietta Dodge, I am not aware of anyone with equal skill and reputation in Atlanta. The next time I need my car worked on, I am...
Re: Has Anyone\'s Gas Light In Their Car Ever Come On?
I am confident there is no low fuel warning light, as I did actually run out of gas once! I have never seen a low fuel light on my car, then or any other time.
I have used Solotime reuseable vinyl numbers for the track and they come right off with no problems. I spray the area with mother's detailing spray beforehand just to make sure. I ordered mine from Solo Performance. (www.soloperformance.com). My understanding is that the static cling ones...
Re: OFFICIAL RESULTS... RED5 IS 1TONY1\'s BYOTCH!!!
Congratulations Tony!
I am also happy to announce that I took 1st place in the Atlanta PCA autocross visitor class yesterday -- I'll post a link to the results when they go up on the internet. No Corvettes at this event, nor any smack...
I think I saw over on world-challenge.com that Giglotti got a penalty for rough driving. I assume that will include the contact with Bob. Also, the race is on TV next weekend on SPEED.
