I was doing some work on my car the other day and was looking at the suspension mounts on my car. They are perfectly square and I just had an alignment done. These are weled to the frame, so they will be pretty soft due to the heating during the welding process. The weld bead is large and all...
The McLeod dual disk is a great clutch, it is expensive, however it is also rebuildable.
I heard the Star (SPEC) has just released a dual disk setup for the viper as well.
If expense is not an issue, the ultimate setup is the Tilton multi disk.
Re: 13\" or 12\" Rears?
I am running the Iforged Precision Series 20x12 on the rears of my SRT10. When I put the Iforged wheel beside the stock 13" rim with the tires mounted, there is only 1/4" difference in width. The tires actually fit the 12" rim better & they look less stretched then...
Sounds like a nice setup. I am thinking about the AVIC Z1 or D2. I also looked at the Eclipse AVN systems, people who have them love'm. I have read some negative reviews on the AVICs at avic411.com, so I am not sure which way to go yet.
Do you not want the NAV system?
I will be doing it myself this winter. I pulled the panel off to take a look behind it, and there is enough room for a double din. However the stock RBQ radio has a wider opening then a din size. So you will need to cut the panel to a 7" x 4" opening and then fill in and paint the side areas...
I know I am going to get slammed for this, but if you look at the actual cost for the materials that go into a twin turbo setup, it is no where near the prices that tuners are charging. I have made my own TT setup for a C5 that I had before my SRT10 and it ended up costing less then $10k. It...
Looks good, a bit on the low side. How does the car handle on bumpy roads or wash board surfaces? Is it better then stock? I am trying to decide between the Aldans or the KW's.
BTW awesome car, I love that colour combo.
You should be able to get front bumper cover repaired and painted for around $500.00, however since you have a Copperhead it may cost a little more. Is the bumper cracked or scraped through?
I called Doug, and he is using the Aldans with his own valving and springs spec'd out. DLM is kind of expensive for Aldans, as Parts Rack & Roe sell them for $1000 per set for the GEN3 with any spring rates and valving you want.
To give you an idea of how soft the PS2 tires are, I put on a new set and did 600 miles of light street driving with no burn-outs or real high g corners. I just measured them, and the rears are now at 8/32", new they are 10/32.
The real reason I measured them was I have a bulge in one of the...
The Aldan option is by far the cheapest, however I have not heard a single positive review. I like to track my car as well, so I think I am going to go with the KW's or Moton Club Sports.
Re: DC Please build a street version or anyone please build a kit for me!!!
The side sills look pretty good! Are you going to make them with carbon, kevlar or fiberglass?
What about the rear quarters & front fenders, are you going to make these out of a composite? The stock plastic...
