don't know about early cars or exec cars but i do know one of the other dead give aways on a 99 car is the interior. the shift handle has a ball and the door handles are contoured.
i have a difference page for some other changes: http://www.thomasser.org/viper/

There are some really good deals on vipers to be found. I bought my 99 ACR in October and got a REALLY good deal, all stock with 3400 miles (boughtin Mountain View). the 97 rt-10 for sale in the classifieds NOW for 43K with 23K miles on it is a probably a really good deal considering its...
getting back to the point of the original post. is 2001 z06 + 26K = 01 gts. I'd say no. Looks like dealer trade in would be about 40K for a car with your low mileage. private party probably 45K. truth is there are a lot of new vipers out there under invoice. you could probably get a 0 mile viper...
i have compiled some info on the different years, see:
http://www.thomasser.org/viper/
it points to some other references too.

p.s. i pretty much type one handed too, i prefer lower case though.
according to postings here apparently the intake/exhaust lift increased .001 inch in 98 from 97.
i compiled a list of all cam info just a little while back as this is a recurring question. see the bottom of the following:

looks like these numbers kind of...
Re: CAR WON\"T START
had the same problem. hit the alarm deactivation on your keyfob. it did the trick for me. the alarm system tells the car not to start after a battery disconnect. this was very frustrating and ultimately a very easy fix.
i did end up replacing the battery (under warranty!)...
anyone have experience with the sparco or momo shifters? seems like there is a pretty good selection.

abs was introduced in 2001. my understanding is there was an abs update in 2002.
i've compiled a list of significant changes year to year as far as i can tell at:

$800 / year ($66/mo) factors in multiple car discount (96 mustang GT, 98 ford expedition, 99 viper gts acr) viper registered in my wifes name, 1 speeding ticket 2 years ago. AAA California.

i had squeaks in mine at 5000 miles. do yourself a favor. for $150 and no more than a couple hours mechanic time get a pair of ebc greenstuffs. they run much cleaner and will save you the annoying task of having to clean those bbs wheels so often. i just had mine done. i'm very happy with the...
the rally green from a 69 z28 is an intersting suggestion. that color i believe was also used on mopars that year though i forget offhand the color code. most notably on the 440-6-pack superbee and 440-6-bbl roadrunners. i want to say FE8 was the paint code. also for suggestions you may want to...

see http://www.thomasser.org/viper/
the 99 acrs had a rattle in the koni shocks, they were swapped out for another brand considered somewhat less desirable the following year (according to posts on this board). the acr seatbelts (5 points) are in the...
did you see this?
http://vca1.viperclub.org/ubb/Forum14/HTML/009346.html
new "final edition" viper. numbered, red with unique "daytona stripes" (white). if i just ordered a car i'd seriously consider this.
whatever you end up with, enjoy!!!!!
Cheers,
Jason
I just put ebc greens on my car today. the up sides are as noted. the downsides are they have a shorter life than oem stock. reasonable for me, i like my car looking good with little or no brake dust.

the viperclub website marv s mentioned is awesome though a couple things are missing. i created another page to complement it with a few observations folded in, i updated tonight with a couple more things. it is about my 5th or 6th revision. hope this helps. see: http://viper.thomasser.org/viper...
Who has ACR\'s with no comfort group?
Howdy folks-
Being the new owner of a second hand no comfort group car, I thought it might be kool to hear from other owners of such cars and find out what they are being used for. according to the registry page there were 9 1999's and 14 2000's. No info...
found out another difference. an acr without comfort group (like mine was) also does not have an antenna amplifier module for any after market stereo. not insignificant. was quoted $245 for it.
Part #4709109

Chuck-
thanks for the info and part #. Can you tell me whether this is worth pursuing or should a decent stereo shop...
i saw this cruising the web a couple months back. don't know if its for real but if it is then maybe you can get back where you were before the accident with a deductible, thought it might be owrht mentioning. good luck.

99 acr had koni adjustable shocks - they rattled. they were replaced by another vendor (DCS?) the following year though are not considered as desirable for some reason, even though the konis are the source of the rattle.
2000 acr's also have upgraded oil pan. engine modifications include cast...
