I have been getting more acquainted with my car the last few days and can't keep off the limiter in 1st, so I will probably just shift short for now on. I figure it can't be good for the springs to be hitting the limiter like that, even if they are upgraded.
How much harm is it to the engine to be bouncing off the limiter in 1st gear? My car is modded with a 522" and a paxton and the revs come up sooo fast in 1st its crazy. I seem to do fine in the other gears and not bouncing it off the limiter. I am thinking maybe I should just short shift it in...
I have no cats on my car(522" Paxton) and passed smog. They don't do the tailpipe test here, they only plug into the obd connector under the dash. As long as you are throwing no codes you will pass.
I haven't put them on yet, but I purchased the Aldan setup from Jon for $1300-1400. I just wanted to lower it about
1 1/2" and this was the cheapest way. Some have had trouble with Aldans, but I don't see why you would have any problems with just a street driven car.
Correct I offered $4500 shipped for the complete set of rims, tires, sensors, caps, etc. You came back and said you sold the rear tires off of them so I would need to get rear tires. It wasn't worth the hassle for me to buy tires and get them mounted and so on. And I have other things on the car...
The VCA should register as a SEMA member and then they could get tickets for the show. They are supposed to be for officers only, but I am sure they all would not attend and then put them up here.
There is a limit to what to expect from these wheels. They are the hot item right now, but just because they cost $6k from the dealer doesn't mean they will sell for that. You can buy any Iforged, HRE or other similar quality aftermarket wheel in the 18/19 setup for $4k or less. And you will be...
The engine is a 522" with a paxton running approx. 8-9lbs. I am making roughly 780rwhp on pump 91 in 105 degree heat when they tuned it 2 weeks ago here in Vegas. I would prefer the internally mounted pumps as I think they would be quiet compared to the Aero. I have now, which is fairly loud. I...
I assumed it doesn't as I see other when upgrading have installed a return line. I purchased my car in its present condition so I didn't know for sure. I come from vettes and we had to install a 97/98 return style system on my 01 when we upgraded the engine. I had a feeling that the lack of a...
What pumping solutions is everyone using on their higher HP cars? My car has the Aeromotive Eliminator pump externally mounted under the rear fascia. After receiving the car and driving it one day here in Vegas in 108 degree heat for about 20 minutes around town, the car experienced a form of...
6'4" 275lbs size 14 shoe. I installed the 1" seat lowering kit and fit like a glove. I am more long legged so it if I were any longer, I probably wouldn't have gotten the Viper.
Could you take the NWE kit into someone and have them weld it once you have it set in place and setup for your car? That might take some of the slop out of it.
I ordered the seat lowering kit from Jon on Thurs(via email) 2 weeks ago and told him I needed it here at my house that next Tues. He sent an email back stating no problem, and the kit arrived when I needed it. That was the only communication I had with him Jon, so no complaints from me.
