Re: Does anyone keep their Vipers stock or do you Mod??? Poll
Surprised to see as many A answers as there are. 6 or 7 out of 31.
Must be nice to have 2 or 3 Vipers to have one stock and mod the other!!
Chuck 98-I was surprised to hear you are nearly stock with that avatar you got
I have had my Viper for about a year now and I think it is a safe bet to say that %80 to %90 or more of Viper owners end up putting at least some kind of aftermarket product on their car.
I would like to see how close I am to that figure.
I am starting to get a real itch to do something to...
I gotta tell ya....he is very prompt on his e-mail replies!
He must really want to sell the "car". Here is the response from my email that I sent him:::::::::
Hi,
The car is in perfect conditions without any scratches or other mechanical problems.I will pay the shipping cost and you will...
I am bringing my '98 GTS in to him next week to have the frame recall done......(the right way)!!. I have yet to meet him in person.
Now my only dilemma is: do I have him put on an exhaust and/or supercharger on while he has it in his shop!!!
Hmmmmm... and to think I had planned on leaving...
I had the same situation about a month ago. Only it was my elderly aunt who died(actually a blessing as she had become very ill for a long time).
I was debating on whether taking the Viper to the funeral....it was an absolutely beautiful day too, very tempting, but decided against it. Even...
I had mine on a hydraulic jack this past weekend to take wheels off to clean them. It was on the jack for around 2 hours per side. I love how you can take both wheels off the same side at once by just jacking the front. I did have a jackstand underneath....just in case. but have never had a...
I am also getting the supercharge itch.
Especially with all the newer fast cars around like the new Mercedes.
I just cannot imagine the thought of being beaten by a sedan...I will not let it happen.
Mine will have to wait til next spring though.
Nice to hear all the positive remarks...
Sorry to hear about your misfortune and aggravation.
Thank God you were able to spot those flaws before you actually had it loaded and headed for home.
Imagine finding out after the fact that the car had damage to it. It could have been much worse for you then.
your $1000.00 loss doesn't...
Ah....yes,
I remember you at Tators.....I was a couple cars down from you in the red 98GTS.
You did indeed have one of the cleanest Vipers there. Loved the black emblems and the chromed wheels looked fantastic. :2tu: Might do the same to my rims when they start getting a little dull...
I am not surprised your gas pedal fell off....It is from all the lead in your foot, a little too heavy for the pedal assembly. sorry...couldn't resist...good luck to ya!!
This time of year, there is so much pollen in the air, I would not be blaming any kind of wax for attracting it.
You cannot avoid nor repel it no matter what. I just power washed my deck yesterday and it is already turning yellow again from pollen and all my cars are loaded with it.
One car...
Looks great! Shining like a diamond!...What color are those stripes?
They look grey- silver in those pictures but almost looks like a tannish color in your avatar.
It is the 98 red GenII in the picture of Moundir..right behind his car.
Was the plate mount on your car today? How does it attach? Easy on..easy off?...I may consider getting the holes repaired for something like that but at the same time, I don't feel like being hassled without the plate...
Who was the dork from Jersey that had the front plate mounted to his car?
Ooops...It was me!
I think I had the only Viper today at the BBQ with a front plate actually mounted. You can see it sticking out like a sore thumb in one of the pictures posted from the BBQ.
I really do hate the...
Thanks Chuck,
For the BBQ and the T-Shirt. You will be getting lots of advertising from me. Will be wearing the shirt alot!!
Nice ride there and back. You are only 1 and a half hours away. Will see you at end of June for the frame recall.
Thanks again for you and your staffs hard work at...
Yeah...you're probably right.
I just haven't gotten to that point yet.
Still scratch free other than a couple stone chips.
That is what usually happens to me once I get my first good scratch on a car.
I start to worry less about it... but with this car you are constantly reminded...
Hey,
I see you are from San Fran,
Any chance you were on Embarcardero dr.(I think that is the name of the road) last saturday? Right near the bay a little ways up from fishermans warf around 6:30.
I saw a final edition then when I was out your way on vacation last week.
I am paranoid also,
Even when I go into a convenience store I am in a real big rush to get back out. These snakes are not safe by them selves. Too many jealous, spiteful people in this world that would love nothing better then to ruin your day.
Re: New Jersey Meeting Spot for Tators
I am going to try to make your meeting spot but I think I may be running a bit late. I definately don't expect you guys too wait but I jotted down your number and if I am close to your time I will give you a call. Otherwise I will see you at Tators. I have...
I have the neutral gear rattle on my 98 GTS.
I have gotten used to the noise at stoplights and stop and go traffic but am kind of tired of explaining to my friends or any new passengers that ride with me that this noise is normal.
They always ask me what that chatter is or "what's the matter...
Re: Meguiar\'s NXT Tech Wax is the new king!
I am sold on the NXT.
I used it for the first time yesterday.
Easy on..easy off.
Almost too easy off. Kind of made me wonder if any was actually sticking to the paint.
I shook the towel several times after wiping the wax off and never saw...
