VERY FRUSTRATED!!! HAVE one last post before i loose it.
I couldn't get my new laptop with Vista to work no way no how. I ended up picking up a cheap IBM thinkpad off of ebay for less than a $100 shipped and I was in business. The next thing and I'm serious, is you MUST be able to check your LTFTs. Get some sort of scan tool that will display them...- DVSGTS

It may be faulty or just stuck. See if you can clean it out a little, clear the codes, hook it all back up, and see if the code returns. This is assuming you can even get it to idle. The IAC does just that, controls idle air flow. This is where a scan tool helps again, easy to clear codes...- DVSGTS

Sounds like your base tune is way off. You have to verify your LTFTs with a scan tool to get your injectors scaled correctly, then work on the rest of the tune from there. Been there, done that, almost fumigated myself out of the garage while setting things up at idle.- DVSGTS

800+ rwhp and still gets 22.8 MPG
That's pretty much my problem too! :rolaugh: I think I'm right at 20mpg with 600RWHP N/A. Right on Plumb!- DVSGTS

Is The Viper An ANTI-CHICK MAGNET?

Ok, sorry this is a littl long but, quick history... Picked up a 00 GTS that had a clear title but bent frame. Great, also the original creampuff had a hole in the block. Super! Really no recourse without a lengthy $$ battle, so I took it in stride and shelled out the dough to completely...- DVSGTS

Poly engine mounts!
Yes, very good mod. Did Woodhouse motor and trans mounts. The drivetrain just feels more connected to the car and the shifter doesn't torque over anymore either.- DVSGTS

HELP Car wont start!
Also check the heavy ground strap on the passenger side frame. Make sure the nut is actaully tight.- DVSGTS

Tools to replace timing cover gasket?
I had to get some longer bolts for the "Powerbuilt" puller that I bought at Checker, so I could get more threads of the center screw going. Run a shop vac down into the pump and it'll pull out a little more coolant from the water jacket that will otherwise drip all over the place when you...- DVSGTS

New '96 GTS owner in Phoenix area
Nice car for sure. I got to see it at Bill Luke when Eddie was aligning mine (Black w/ white striped GTS). Eddie is the man and really goes above and beyond to help other Viper owners out. Can't say enough good things about him. Lucky he's close to me so I can bug him relentlessly!- DVSGTS
