    who would give up their Viper for a V10 FirePower?

    You have to see the car in person! I got to see it at the NY Auto Show and it is drop dead gorgeous. The pictures do not do it justice. I would definitely consider trading the Viper but would probably just try to afford both!

    Help! Car died on acceleration!

    Gas cap is tight. I took the car out today and tried to make it happen again and couldn't. Maybe I went over 6500 rpm's without realizing it? Would the check engine light come on? And would the car totally shut down?

    As for fuel I had just filled up completely about a mile before this happened so it shouldn't be that. Why would the power steering suddenly disappear below 20mph? Iwas probably going about 70mph when it happened and rolled to a stop. If the car totally died shouldn't the power steering die...

    I definately wasn't over 6500 rpm as I had just shifted into third shortly before it happened. Everything happened so quickly I would say that I was at around 4000 rpm and at full throttle. It almost felt like the car bucked for a second then died

    rear brake pads, how much should I pay at dealer?

    I'd love to go to Chuck Tator's but he's too far away. As for doing it myself, I've never done brake pads before and this is not the car I want to learn on! I just need to know if all dealers are going to charge that much and how much some other people are paying.

    Thanks Jeff! I will definately come by. Having a retail store in downtown Newport makes it tough for me to get away, especially in the summer. But since you guys will be in Newport I'll be able to sneak out for a bit.
