Non-transferable, I think it was $2,500 to upgrade the 3yr/36k warranty up to the lifetime. I can also lift the jeep 3.5 inches and still stay under warranty.
My wife just picked up a Saturn turbo sky redline
We just picked up a new Wrangelr Jeep for the family car (LIFE TIME WARRENTEE!!! Bumper to bumper - upgraded the 3/36 into lifetime)
For me I think I want to get a Tesla on the racetrack.

The event had 36 cars competing. They had 3 courses and were only planning
on giving out 1st place for each course. But after they did they then gave me
another award that they were not planning on.
From what I was told I ended up taking 2nd place on 2 of the events and 3rd
place in the...
Well as far as can you drift a Viper. Yes, Samuel Hubinette won the 2004 and 2006 Formula D national titles in his Viper. He's now in a Charger.
As far as practicing safe. Yes I practice out at Willow Springs, no walls on the Walt James track or the Balcony. If anyone wants they can come out...
Would love to see some Vipers out there for support, even if just to watch 8-)
Here's a youtube of a practice session a few weeks ago.

There's a beginner Drift Event at El Toro Airforce Base on Sept 9th. I'd love to see some other Viper owners come out and participate or even just have fun and watch me spin out of control alot ...haha.
Here's a link:

PS: I would have posted in the events...
I also think the ABS is more important then the color or the $. While the $ is a tough one. The ABS is well worth it I think for the real world situations. You can change the color fiarly cheaply if you want another color. As far as the mods. All the years are fairly easy to mod. Don't worry to...
I'm not as harsh as many other owners here as far as what I'd do. I know as a kid I got many tickets of that nature. It's unfortunately the nature of both the age and the car. Personally I think I'd ldo a few things.
1 - Insist on a Driver's ed type program. But not like most. A racing school...
I'm going to post from the other point of view. My car Viper has 200,000 miles on it. It's a Gen 1, which is the worst of the squeakers. It does rattle and does squeak. It's also only waterproof with the original soft top (even then only mostly) ... but as it's been mentioned above it's like no...
Nice, thanks.
I love it when American cars fight it out. Without the competition European cars win, but when the US fights with itself, it's amazing what we can do ...haha 8-)
Just my 2 cents .. Water / Meth can help on the power / heat soaking consistency issues w/SC cars. I've heard many debates over the Water/Meth issues, but if it's used for power consistency at high temps vs. used to gain hp by increasing boost and timing, it will help alot.
Here's my favorite drifting video atm.

Take a close look at the end when they do a close up on the feet ... granted it's a fully custom car, but amazing car control!!!
To each their own. Some like Drag racing (done it), some like Auto-Xing (done it), some enjoy just driving it (do it all the time), and some like Drifting (getting better at it ...haha). I have been enjoying my Viper for the past ten years and hoping to enjoy it for the next ten. One of my...
It's awsome fun ... yea it's fairly tuff to keep it under control. The big issue is steering angle which is not easy to adjust. DC Performance (310) 841-6996 is doing all my engine modifications, and SWS (Street-Wise Racing) is doing all my steering and fabrication adjustments, like roll cage...
Haha ... GTS Bruce,
You mentioned Auto-Xing ...I've done quite a few over the past 10 years including winning the TCRA Division 2 Time title at the Cal Speedway, as well as a bunch of other unimportant stuff. The real fun is all about enjoying what you do. For me drifting has been a blast...
Jon at parts rack had got me some great deals on tires, around $80 a piece for 275/17s. Normally I go through about 4, but that day I went through 10 ...haha 8-)
I actually run the 3.73 with S/C. 1st gear is all but useless, but I really like where the car sits at 70mph+. 4th gear works great, while 3rd gear is great for quick pick up to 70 mph.
Personally I think 3.55 might be your better option if you want to feel quicker in the seat of your pants...

I picked up this one. I love the USB thumb drive / front AUX / IPOD - MP3 / XM radio player access. I load up my USB thumbdrive with a TON of tracks and use that more then any CD or even the XM radio.
SONY CDX-GT410 CD/MP3/USB Car...
