actually there are 4 vipers running. 2 from Paul Belmondo Racing, 1 from Labre Competition, and one from the ORECA sponsered FFSA (French GT Championship) team. they did really well, too. the Labre car beat both of the vettes in pre qual.- pitviper

totalmotorsport.com stated that chrysler is holding off on the next racing viper to see where the GTS/GT classes are going. is this true? or is it because the money is no longer going to be there. i spent hours and hours in the garage of the chamberlain vipers just drooling over them. i know...- pitviper

No GTS????
if this is true, then what car would team oreca be running in lemans and in the alms in 2002? a racing version of the convertable, like what was run (not by oreca) in le mans in like 93 or 94 (the neon orange one)? or will it be a true next gen gts-r (or gts-r/t)? if they have the gts-r/t...- pitviper

ok, i've asked a whole bunch of people and no one can tell me this... in recent years, the racing model of the viper has been the Viper GTS-R, such as the one that team oreca has run so masterfully. however, this year they are running a Viper GTS-R/T. my question is: what is the distinction...- pitviper

am i wrong in recollecting that the concept car has been being dubbed the GTS-R the whole time? even in the pictures, that's what it says on the stand. in the next gen viper, will there be name differences in the coupe and convertable models (like the GTS and RT/10 now)?
