Open element Intake Air Tempurature sensor (IAT)

I know I've seen reference to an open element IAT sensor to use with my VEC 3 in place of the factory unit, but I can't seem to find the thread. They say that the factory sensor is slow to respond to sudden changes, which in a boosted app, can be quick and drastic. Any info would be...

Cant take early Vipers into Canada?????????? WTF??

I have imported a car from the US before, and looked at importing a Viper too. (found one in Canada I liked though) So, if the viper is 15 years or older, it can be imported with no issue. Check the manufacturers date on the door sticker and make sure it is at least 15 years to the month...

    My DIY twin turbo build..

I actually just got back to working on it again this week. I got a stellar deal on a used WRX, so I spent the last month fixing/painting it for resale. Sold in less than a week. Now it's time to get this thing done!

    Back at the Dyno... again

Having a case in your trunk at all times? ;) I'm curious to see what the cost will be versus race fuel. Obviously the additive will be more convenient than buying barrels of race gas, and allow for long trips without wondering how you are going to refuel. On another note, I saw a setup...

    Back at the Dyno... again

Wow, I didn't know there was an additive out there that actually gave you more than 5 or 6 points. 50 or 60 points would be awesome!

    Back at the Dyno... again

Just want to make sure everyone knows that 4 or 5 octane points means going from 91 to 91.4 - 91.5 octane, NOT 95 to 96 octane. I find it to be a popular misconception around my area. Awesome numbers BOTTLEFED!

Dyno results. Greg Good heads, Gen I.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the SCT is only good for the gen II and up. (OBDII vehicles) Later,

Wait a minute: side exhaust AND rear exhaust on one car?

While I was deciding on a turbo location for my gen 1, I thought about running a rear mount turbo setup but having external wastegates venting out the side sills and the turbine housing of the turbos exiting out the rear tail pipes. Would have been awesome when someone was beside you and you hit...

    My DIY twin turbo build..

One step closer. Intercooler mounted. Had to move the oil cooler back a bit so the intercooler would clear the bumper. Discharge side. Charge pipe to the motor. Cheap couplers until I can find suitable 3 ply yellow units. Here is my DIY bead roller for cheap ass ebay...

    My DIY twin turbo build..

AFAIK, it has always been that way. I know when I go state side, the beer goes down like water. Canada and the US calculate the alcohol content differently which is why you get 4% on your cans while we get 5% on ours. If calculated the same, I think Canada is still in the lead, but not by a...

If your beer wasn't so "sissy like", it wouldn't take 20 beer to get drunk... :rolaugh: Got the other turbo hung today, will have pics tomorrow. Later,

    My DIY twin turbo build..

Nope,lol.. It has been in the back of my mind though. I can port the WG hole a bit before I have to resort to external gates. The turbo oil drains are 1" above the oil pan's lip. I think I will try the gravity drain first, but have a pump and turbo timer in the wings ready. (turbo timer...

    My DIY twin turbo build..

After spending a week in the Dominican, I got a chance to work on the car a bit more. Snaked the air inlet for the turbo up around the HVAC stuff so I wouldn't have to mount the air filter under the car. Also have the charge pipe routed up into the engine bay as well. Currently...

    attn canadian viper importers

I think you have 45 days to get the Canadian Tire inspection done, but you can also get an extension. There are certain things that need to be done to US cars to pass safety standards in Canada. Daytime running lights, child restraints and Air Bags are a few. If the car is 15 years or older, no...

    My DIY twin turbo build..

The exhaust wheel of the turbo acts just like a muffler taking the exhaust pulses and chewing them up and spitting out a nice quiet whistle. I am predicting it will be close to as quiet as stock when done.

    The side feed injector thread.

Oh yea, also, you can add dual inlets to the intake and use the factory feed as a return when using the side feeds as well. Am I to understand that it is 1500 for just the rails and fittings? So you still have to buy injectors etc?
