Head Work for Gen 1, Is it possible or worth it?

I would definately recommend it. I'm having my RT/10 done and it will dyno at 650. Prior to agreeing to the work I was taken for a ride in a recently completed Gen 1 with 600. It kicked!

    Mileage and Vipers

I have 45K on my 2000 RT/10, so it's a daily driver. I would equate driving my car to having a beautiful woman, enjoy it as often as you can.

    Viper Club Driving School

Bragg-Smith in Pahrump provides an excellent 3 day course in their Corvettes. At the end of the 3 day course, you're free to use that experience taking your Viper around the track. Level 1 & 2 are well worth the modest fee.

    How reliable is your viper?

I have 41K on my 2000 RT/10 and use it often on the track. I have Archer headers, 3" exhausts & cats, Koni shocks and Eibach springs, new larger radiator, race wires, Stoptech brakes and modified airbox. I have had no problems with the vehicle. It's American engineering at it's very best.

    Seals

Both brake and clutch fluid are discolored in the reservoirs, shortly after changing fluids. I believe that is the result of color contamination from the seals. I just called my Dodge dealer only to be told "They don't service these, you have to buy the whole unit". Is this for real?

Brutally hot day road racing, questions about keeping the body cool...

Pauls advice is the best I've seen. He is totally on the mark. I was exhausted at WSIR and the thermostat red lined after 6 laps. On Monday I resumed training at the gym and will purchase a new radiator for the car.

    How to write-off a viper?

I lease mine and expense the lease monthly. I would be suprised if this causes any problems, as long as the company was not formed, to pay for the Viper.
