At 70 shipped I definitely would like to see the quality of these and know how long these would last(cheapskates myself) but I guess I wasn't that cheap when it actually came down to buying a set haha..I just bought a set and installed them in my RT/10 I'll post up some pictures soon.
Eibach springs with thinner spring caps should do the job at a reasonable price compared to a full coilover setup but that also depends if your just going for looks or performance?
Acutally cleaning chrome is a lot easier than high polish or anything that is just polished period. BUT the downside on chrome is that if you curb these again and try to get them repaired, your going to have to rechrome the whole wheel and that will just make the wheel a lot weaker. Chrome does...
Never had mods on it. Probably from previous ownership but not to sure. I'll be changing the plugs out in a few weeks along with the wires and also I'll run a compression check on the cylinders. Just called my friend and he still has the graph from the dyno so I should have that posted up...
Thanks for all the feedback guys! I just got her and was so anxious to modify it so I just wanted to get a quick dyno run to see what I was putting down before I started modifying. I didn't look at the filters nor did I check the plugs, (wires are MSD BTW)before the run. But just last week I...
Well I dynoed my car a few weeks ago just haven't had time to post up. Well it made 347 HP and 400 TQ on my bone stock GEN I with 60k on her. Does this sound right? Isn't it 400hp and 450tq rated from factory? With the 15% deduction from drivetrain loss I figure those numbers seemed ok. My buddy...
Well that's what the supervisor said. But if it was having a hard time coming out in the first place they shouldn't even continue to work on it unless the customer said it was ok to do so and if it broke I would be responsible for it (another guy that worked there told me that's what they had to...
Will definitely put up my VIN# right now and join VCA ASAP but my printer is down right now to print and fill out an application. Is there another way I could sign up over the phone by contacting headquarters? Thanks for the reminder =) But I still need this wheel stud fix =(
Is there an easier way to install these on a GEN I besides removing the front bumper to get to the fogs? My arms aren't skinny and my fingers aren't tiny (I tried already) to fit through the foglight holes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Long story short. Stupid mechanics at Sears broke my wheel stud trying to remove my wheel to fx a flat repair. I say stupid because I can hear this kid forcing the air gun to remove the lug stud but I figured he knew what he was doing and thought what's so hard about removing a wheel right...
Another member needing some of those sill plugs as well but def not paying a grip just for some plastic little caps. What website did you get it from dave6666? I suppose you have some left over...would sell 8 of them? =)
Wow I just read all 18 pages as well and I must say this is an AMAZING build you have going on. Like everyone else has mentioned, makes me feel like tearing my RT/10 apart but with the funds and being a student that doesn't work out. Keep up the good work!
I'm also interested about installing a new alarm system on my GenI but also would like to know if the factory alarm system needs to be removed or what needs to be done? Also would the automatic door locks be compatible with an aftermarket alarm system?
