Ok, I just received the Polk DB651s and I installed them. The connectors are the same size as the Kickers, so I didn't have to reattache new connectors. Polk doesn't give you any though, so if you buy these you will have to purcahse some female connectors to attach the wiring to the speakers...
To update this thread... I just sent back the Polk/Momo MMC650's and ordered the Polk DS651s. They will be here tomorrow and I'll install them and provide my thoughts compared to the Kickers.
Yes, I know. But the Polk/Momo MMC650's had the correct bolt pattern and they are a better speaker, so I wanted to give them a try.
I may do the DB651s, or I might just try anothe set of the Kicker's again. Not sure yet...
Update: The Polk MMC650's don't fit. The bolt pattern is correct, but the frame of the speaker is just a hair too thick to fit into the opening. Sure I could trim the factory opening a bit, but I don't want to modify anything.
And the search continues...
My only reservation about getting a used part is what's to stop it from breaking again? I am told the new regulators have a slightly different design, most likely to stop this issue from happening again.
Also, my tech told me only 03-04 regulators will work. Can anyone comfirm this?
-...
The dealer said they can get them... Maybe the GenII regulators are out of production though.
This sucks... The car just passed 4,000 miles, it shouldn't have broken this soon. It has been making the popping noise since 2,800 miles when I picked up the car.
Well, after taking the car into the dealer, the drivers side window regulator is half broken. I remember reading on here that this was a problem on the 2003 Vipers.
One of the cables or guides for the cable is broken, I'm not exactly sure. I was told there was no way to fix this (I fixed...
Got a call from the dealer, they said they talked to Chrysler and that the gear noise is normal. Chrysler said they replaced 300 units and the noise was still there, so they are calling it normal.
It's all about how much you want to know. I have used blackstone before many times, the little blurbs they give you are decent. Terry sends me a 10 minute long mp3 audio interpretation of the oil. He knows the engines and he knows where the levels need to be. That is why I said don't pay...
You're also listing at a bad time... going into winter people don't want to buy a car like that. Have you tried ebay so you can list the car nationaly? You should have better luck with people in the warmer states...

A TBN of 6 is plenty. Many new oils only have a TBN of 8-9. But as I am saying, TBN is over-rated as it didn't neutralize the acid in the oil. If you just look at TBN, you'd think I could run this oil for a longer duration, but I couldn't because the acidity was way too high.
We'll see...
On a side note, my Polk MMC650's came today, and the box is huge! The speakers look amazingly well built, and it seems like you can detach the tweeter, as it looked like they provided crossovers for running it as a component set. I didn't get a chance to dig around though, and I can't install...
If your speakers aren't marked positive and negative, then you will need to test. It's probably good to test anyway.
Cut the wires to the harness for the factory speaker. Strip some of the insulation away, then hook up a 9v battery. When the speaker cone has positive excursion (meaning it...
That's not what I said. If you read what I wrote again, I said they all use "universal averages" when analyzing oil. And then Terry reads the data and based on your application tells you what is high or not. That is why his analysis costs $60 compared to $30 for Blackstone with TBN.
I...
All places use "universal averages", that's why you send the sample to Terry and he interprets it for you and tells you exactly what's going on.
Don't over simplify TBN, which a lot of people do on message boards. The 'Total Base Number' is the indicator of the additive left in the oil, but...
All the JL speakers I saw only had 4 holes...
I ordered the Polk/Momo MMC650's today, and they will be here tomorrow. Only problem is that the car goes in for the transmission replacement tomorrow, so I will most likely not be able to fit them until next week sometime.

I returned mine today... was still getting a 'poppping' at high volume levels. It seems that they can't handle all the bass, or at least my set couldn't.
I am going to call Crutchfield tomorrow and order these:
I'll test fit them and let you all know how it goes...

I would, too. Then we can see which oils actually work well in this engine, not which company Chrysler has an agreement with for oils. ;)
I'll try and put 2k miles on my car in the next 2 months so that I can change out the oil and get it sampled.

Yes, I will see what they say tomorrow. If it is going to take a while, I will have them give me the car back until it comes in. So, I will ask that they don't remove my transmission until they have the new one in hand.
- Anthony
Well, that is a lot better! But still not perfect.
So I was in the car for a while the other day and I said something is definitely wrong. I'm getting way too many highs (I had the treble down at -5) and the bass was weak. I went and checked the factory speakers, and sure enough those...
Terry gives you an audio interpretation and explains each of the numbers, and on the PDF there are notes (which I had to remove before I posted the image). The watch/warning levels are generic across the board, they aren't tailored to each motor. What you really pay for is his interpretation...
The previous owner put 2500 miles on the car in 2.5 years, so it did sit a lot. He would take it out and drive it usually at least once a week, but I don't know the length of the trips. That's why I'm curious to see the Valvoline report, as I have put 1200 miles on the car in just over a...
I still find it odd that you guys are changing your power steering fluid so soon. There is no combustion blow by damage for it, and it's not hydroscopic, so I don't know why it needs to be changed so frequently.
As for DOT 3 and DOT 4, the only difference is that DOT 4 has a higher wet/dry...
