Re: \'08 Viper
I fail to see what the big deal is. I have one of the limited 4 door verts!!!!
Even have a picture! I can email it, I just can't seem to post it.
I have the passport blue and ran the wire behind the weather striping. I just pulled it out at the mirror. It stays in place just fine, at least it hasn't come out yet. I would like to know if anyone has a better idea for mounting than the suction cups? They suck, oops a pun! I would like...
I know any tire will work on the stock rims if you can find the right size, but what I have had a hard time finding is choices in 345/30-19 for the rear. I have looked alot on the web but just can't find choices. I have noticed a lot of viper owners are downsizing the rears to 18's.
Up until recently the only tire I found for the back stock rims were the Michelin run flats. I did just find at Tire Rack, Hooser has these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hoosier&tireModel=A6&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=43ZR9A6&fromCompare1=yes&place=2...
I got my skip shift from http://www.snakeoylproducts.com/home.php and I put it in, in minutes without removing the pan. I jacked the car and laid under the car and could reach the plug and install with 1 hand. Very easy to do.
Thanks everyone. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it for awhile. Good so far. I do want to replace them, I just don't want to do it for nothing. They seem to be holding up fairly well. I have only been down an 1/8 mile track 5 times and of course the occasional street getting on it when...
Oops, I need to correct my last statement, I don't get on it all the time, wishfull thinking I guess, but when I do I would rather not be worried about a patch.
Yesterday I had my first experience with a screw in my stock rear tire. The first 2 places I called said I couldn't repair a run flat. I called Michelin and they said as long as it wasn't too close to the sidewall it could be repaired but no longer has its speed rating. Next problem was...
By the 3rd run I got good enough to get into 3rd. I think I was running about 8.3, I wish I brought my time slips with me. Getting my reaction time down takes getting use to the lights.
I took my 05 Black SRT to the local 1/8 mile drag strip last Friday and had a blast. Never done that before. It took a few runs to get my timing down but it was truely fun. I am straight stock and still did well. Stalled it once against a friend of mine in his P/U truck but still caught him...
Yup, good write up. I drove mine from FL to MA and back and loved it. No you can't put 2 big suitcases in the trunk but me and my girlfriend didn't run out of clothes either. Although many may not like it, I did add cruise. On a long trip like that I was glad I put it in.
I bought my 05 new and paid for the max care extended warranty 7/70. So I think it is probably still available and just depends on what the original owner paid for.
Finally got my money back! Had to go to the credit card company, they back billed, then had to sit and wait. Got the check Friday. Still say stay clear of TNT Motorsports!
I did not load any pictures, I don't know how any got associated with my profile. I have a black 05. I have since deleted the ones that were there and put in one of mine that I had handy.
Yes that was my first posting.

As for Roy, he was referred to me by the viper mechanic at the Chrysler here. He had high praises for Roy. I ordered my exhaust at the end of June. After early...
