1/8 mile drag

I took my 05 Black SRT to the local 1/8 mile drag strip last Friday and had a blast. Never done that before. It took a few runs to get my timing down but it was truely fun. I am straight stock and still did well. Stalled it once against a friend of mine in his P/U truck but still caught him, that got a few laughs from the crowd but I don't care. I did get eaten for lunch by one car, but that just makes me itch to put the money together to do some mods. This gives me a good baseline to show some improvements.

So, what times did you run? I'm guesing you got into 3rd gear?

By the 3rd run I got good enough to get into 3rd. I think I was running about 8.3, I wish I brought my time slips with me. Getting my reaction time down takes getting use to the lights.
