I've got new PS2's out back and Sumitomo HTRZ2's up front. The Sumis were new when I bought the car so I had them re-balanced and inspected. Bought the PS2's because the rears were dated as original. Handles perfectly and I spank her every chance I get. Dave, I only drink at 11AM if it's 5PM...
Spent my first night in the garage with the Viper, the dog, rock n roll, and brew. The wife hung out until she realized I wasn't coming back in the house! :D
Cool video. Thanks for your service. Buddy of mine just got back from Iraq. First thing I let him do was drive the Viper (and nobody gets to drive it). Stay safe.
As everyone has said, glad you're OK and sorry to hear about your Viper. Pretty scary! There's no need for them to tow it to their yard and it seems the culprit is the brake line. Some companies just take alot longer than others. Stay on their ass though. I'm upgrading the brakes on the GTS and...
I know Tom's doesn't require the prop valve, but am I better off going with one? I'm with ya Fatboy, I don't want to spend major $$$ on a BB kit. I'll put the extra cake into some other mods.... and rims!
Hilarious Dave! Friend of yours? We were more concerned with history, condition and maintenance rather than mileage. Found a sweet one with 21K on the clock. Looking for #2.
Buddy of mine got a little pissed he couldn't drive it but that's because he has a Vette:lmao: BTW I've got an '81 sitting out back that I don't drive anymore, ever. Vipers rule!
Got our red w/silver 97 GTS with 21K miles on it for $31K back in April. Yeah I know, the silver stripes weren't factory for that year. Had the original rear tires on it which we replaced wih PS2's. Solid car with a clean history. There were three available in the low 30's when we bought this...
Tell ya what happened to me. First, the fascia overflow bottle was leaking from the screw puncture syndrome. Fixed that but she kept sending fluid to the overflow and wasn't sucking it back in. It had a new radiator cap (crappy one), so I got the factory one everybody recommended here. Problem 2...
When we first got our 97 GTS, I was going to take it to the local Dodge dealer for some minor stuff (wheel balancing, AC checkup, key fob). The "viper tech" told me they needed to have the car for two days (yeah right) and that they're "a pain to get on the rack". Talked to my local club members...
Bought our first 97 GTS a couple months ago (red w/silver stripes). The silver stripes are an add on but I like them better than the factory white stripes. 21K on the clock, clean car, clean history, $31K. It even had the original rear tires which I replaced with PS2's. Rock solid! I still have...
The Mustang looks great and I totally get not wanting to leave the Viper in certain areas. I've got an 81 Vette in addition to the 97 GTS and very few give it a second glance. The Viper is a freakin magnet.
