I am not looking to get any kind of big power mods.
What do you guys think about getting a tune with the K&N air intake kit and high flow cats? Will it be worth it?
Ok, I just ordered the K&N intake kit and the RT high flow cats from Jon at Partsrack. Now, I am still debating about the gears. Can someone shed some light on my above concern in regards to the 3.55's? Thanks
Hey guys,
I have had my 2004 SRT-10 for 1 week and I already can't stand it being stock..:)
So, I am looking to get just a few mods to wake the car up a bit. What do you think of my choices?
1) 3.55 gear
2) RT high flow cats
3) K&N intake kit (w/ the smooth tube)
4) Tune
My...
I think i am going to go with a gear swap since I have heard that this car REALLY wakes up with a 3.55 gear swap.

Does anyone know if this set (link above) comes with the normal rebuild internals? Or...
What vendor sells 3.45's or 3.55's for the SRT-10?? Where can I get more info on this? I was thinking about high flow cats and a cai, but I think gears would be a better performance choice.
I think i am going to go with a gear swap instead of the few bolt ons for now.

Does anyone know if this set (link above) comes with the normal rebuild internals? Or does it only come with the ring and...
I just got back from the dynojet. I will post the graph later.
2004 bone stock SRT-10
437 rwhp
475 rwtq
I would say this is average, right?
I will be getting a cai kit (smooth tube and filters), high flow cats, and a tune for the car within the next few weeks. Any recommendations in...
No, this was in GA.
I sure hope a SC'd SRT-10 would show a stock C6 Z06 a thing or two..;)
take off that SC and get back to being stock and you might have your hands full..:)
SRTTRICKY, how do you like the Random high flow cats? I am looking to get a pair. I hear the SRT'S stock cats are very restrictive. Also, do you have the K&N intake setup with the smooth tube or just the filters?..any dyno numbers? thanks
Though that driver was clueless, I don't agree that the two cars would be a "dead heat". The Z06 is the faster car, period. Viper owners just need to accept that. I have, and I don't care. Get the car you like and move on.
What's up fellas. My buddy and I took out the snakes since there was no snow on the ground (atleast not on the main roads) and had some fun this evening. We Got a few runs in and also took some pics. Enjoy..
Great night, Andy..:)
It looks like we got a few things in common man.
1) I just became a firs time Viper owner this wek
2) I used to live in MA before coming to MI. I lived in Winthrop.
Congrats on the new snake. Very awesome color combo. Have fun and be safe.
Fadi
Thanks man...
Now, where are the Viper events in MI?..:)
Thanks everyone, again. I hope I am able to meet some of you through some kind of events. When I had a Z06, there was a Z06 fest every year. Anything similar to the Viper? Any kind of gatherings?
Thank you EVERYONE!! I have not been able to drive this thing due to the TERRIBLE weather. I have been staring at it, reving it up, cleaning it, all in the garage without being able to take it anywhere..:(
I still have not experienced this car so I am still waiting for a descent day to be...
Thanks guys.
The deposit on the Z06 was not refundable. But it was "only" $500.
Austin, that car looks SIIIIIICK!! I did not know there was an aftermarket option for the Convertible SRT. Looks awesome man.
I bought it from a used Dodge dealer in Roseville names "Mike Riehl's".
I am from Grand Blanc, which is 5 mins South of Flint, and 1 hour North of Detroit.
Here is what I replied to one asking the same question on the Z06 forums:
"The Viper feels great. Sterring feel is out of this world. Much, much more responsive than the C5 Z (And C6 Z). Sitting in the seats feels like you are sitting on a person with their arms around you, unbelievable...
