Re: Wanted, pics of \'dummy\' roof scoops
Nadine,
I would look closely at the non functional roof scoop before purchasing; some things look better at a distance...
I personally liked the look of the non functional peice until I noticed how fake the air intake looked; it is just a flat black...
Actually many Police officers clear more than a $100k a year
with their OT as I was told by a local Sheriff at a block party... Not a fortune but kinda' suprising isn't it??
All things concerned i'm glad the cops that i've met are as cool
as they were (i've been caught letting it all hang out...
yup, been there done that, paid the ticket.. still no plate on the front of my car.. may opt to build a something like the
removable system posted earlier for long trips though..
Re: Who\'s going to Thunderhill next weekend??
I'm leaving early Friday morning and meeting up with David Sklover (real nice and pretty fast Vette guy) with some of his friends south of Portland about 7am to caravan down..
You're definetly welcome to come with us.. I'll be staying at the Blue...
Who\'s going to Thunderhill next weekend??
Yep the Norcal Shelby Club is putting on a track day and since it's a relatively resonable distance and i've never been I signed to attend in the (advanced "green" group).. Who else is comming?? Stephen Yap??
I will be ready for some friendly...
Unless I was contacted and they were running, I would just take down the plate number the color and make of the car as well as it's direction then call 911 while the issue was hot..
That sounds TERRIFIC Stephen,
Then the decision is made i'll be heading south for that event hopefully with a couple fellow track rats and we'll see what the drying out has done to our Yapster.. You know I envy you
Sean Roes recipe sounds like the fix for your problem;
Adjust the gas pedal at the firewall by loosening the (2)7/16" nuts on the fwd side of the firewall and pulling the assembly loose from the adhesive then move it over as far as you can toward the tunnel to obtain clearance.. You can also...
Now that sounds like a good idea, i'll get my ego bruising closer to home... Are you going to Viper Days @ Thill next year Stephen?? I've missed my little Yapper-he-he..
Got a dilemma;
I want to put my wallet away for the rest of the year and drop the flow to a trickle but folks have really pumped up the Viperdays as being a Premier event with the best drivers around to tango with...
It would undoubtedly be a ego bruising but the latter has me really wanting...
First thing I did was take out the pedal adjustment knob and workings then pulled all 3 cables and set them to my most comfortable positions where I could roll my ankle while blipping my tach to the 3.5k rpm level while having the brake in the threshold position.. Then I used Sean Roe's advise...
I'm smiling because it's done now.. Took about 5 hours and believe me it S-U-C-K-E-D working that tranny jack under a car that's only 2' off the ground.. I remember a day that I would have just bench pressed that 135 pound turd into place, gettin' old SUCKS!! Anyway it's done i'm happy and...
You betcha', i'll be flyin' mine tomorrow down a couple deserted backroads right after I get done installin' the new aluminum flywheel, oil pan baffle set and a full bottle of NOS.. you know how those test drives are especially when you're gettin' new rubber too bwa-ha-ha-ha YEE-HAW
The wing will look great painted or polished.. Since your car is silver a nice touch might be to get the ends only polished then etched with the Viper logo by George... Just a thought..
The splitter and dive plane aero mods as well as wheel upgrades usually start eating at you within a couple...
Good boy Andy!! Keep practicing your heel and toe and smoothing out those corners.. It does make parts of the commute fun dosen't it??.. So hard to be a good boy!!??
Also Try taking different lines through the same corners and get a feel.. Then when nobody's around (keepin' it safe) try to...
Re: Viper\'s owners worst nightmare
I would get three or more knowledgable opinions and estimates in writing before I pursued... I had similar epoxy repairs done on my car last year and cannot see the damage today..
The unfortunate thing is no matter how much we love our Vipers and we feel...
There's basically no way to track a car and keep it perfect.. Other drivers will be wearing stickies even if you're not they pick up rock and guess what? yup, windshield repair..
Rubber blobs get into the frontal areas and also bounce of body parts leaving streaks the car gets filthy because...
Andy?? I LOVE IT!! I put together one track day for the club and get you out then look what happens you get "BITTEN"
I have been contemplating the same question for the last three years and have looked inside of this venue to find that it is in fact VERY expensive..
That's the reason why i'm...
Re: Viper\'s owners worst nightmare
Don't fret too much these cars are rebuildabe, but be sure the person doing the repair is not using fiberglass this car requires a special kind of epoxy repair to do it right..
I'm not into the 1/4m so I don't know the effect on times but have found the wing/splitter and dive plane mod to be beneficial to the cars handling in both elevation drops and high speed cornering..
The looks are well.... kinda..... KILLER!!
