Thanks for the insight. Wasn't too sure what parts of Paxton needed to stay and needed to go. Appreciate that.
AEM is a definite. Meth is a definite but I hadn't planned on 4 big old injectors but keep in mind I'm an old 4 cylinder guy and really didn't give it much thought just yet. I...
Hey guys. I'm considering installing my own Paxton kit if possible. I enjoy doing the work and in the wake of a dramatic price increase at UGR, difficulty making contact with them and no direction as to who to use in the NY/NJ area I was hoping I could ask some advice. I hope this thread may...
I'm tyring to sell a 99 GTS in Silver/Blue with 22-23K and I won't sell if the numbers are that low. There's a lot of people looking to take advantage of other's misfortune which in turn drives the market down. Thankfully I don't have to sell it but it definitely sucks for those who do! Best of...
Thanks guys. I was really excited to buy the wheels but the 10week wait time had me rethinking whether it was a good idea to drop all that coin. When I got them mounted it was a ****ty rainy day. I put them on the car in my garage and I was still really concerned they weren't worth the dough...
Thx. I am very happy with them. They are VERY dirty in these pics but clean up very well. I believe the 1" drop with the eibach's and the 20's are a nice combo in terms of stance and look, regardless of which wheel you select. Rotors and pads are next this winter!
Something else I forgot to mention for all the NYC/NJ folks who opt to buy their tires and rims from separate places.
I got pricing to mount and balance these wheels from Rayco and Action Tire, both on Rt. 46 in North NJ (bling bling wheel shops). They were trying to get in the ballpark of...
Matt at speedwerks probably wants my head for not posting pics yet as promised. That was a cellphone pic and my dumb ass forgot my camera when I went to the car last weekend. I keep the car 20 minutes from where I live so I'm not with it all the time. I PROMISE to post better pics and I promise...
Hey All.
My name is Gabe and I've been on the board for a year now yet relatively quiet and learning a lot from all of you. My car is a 99 Silver/Blue Stripe GTS and the car is located in North NJ. I recently got involved in the Speedwerks group buy for Iforged wheels and wanted to share my...
Hey Plum...
I just put VISHISS on the back of my 99 sil/blue gts here in NJ. My first choice was VICIOUS, second was VENMOUS, third choice was VISHISS. I kind of liked the play on words. I can tell you that you should def call the NJ DMV before making final selection. There's some nice people...
HAHAHAHA...the reason you go with bigger wheels, is to have bigger wheels and to fill the giant gap in the fender well. I could give a **** less about bigger brakes at this point. My car stops just find and considering it's nearly stock, I see no emergent need to upgrade the entire brake system...
Hey guys.
I'm about to upgrade to a 20"/20" Iforged combo and was looking for some reasonably priced drilled and/or slotted stock replacement rotor (and pad) options. Any advice would be appreciated.
gabe
I'm not sure what these generally go for but I may be interested. I'm also looking for a stock intake as well, both for a 99 gts.
PM some prices.
Thanks
Gabe
Hey Matt. Some dude a while back on the alley asked if you were accepting noobs to the goup buy. Maybe you can reach out to him as well.
It's annoying to have to wait but by the same token, it's a decent sized purchase and tough decision for most I'm sure! I would just hope that those who...
For those of you who committed to the group buy, I spoke with Matt and was wondering when I should be expecting my wheels and was told that the order hasn't even been placed due to people not sending in their money as committed. If there's only 7 people we're talking about A $50 difference. I...
BWAHAHAHAHA....you know this! How was your trip to FL?
I'm kind of copying. I'm going with a 20" x 20" combo...classic 2, polished with chrome lips but i went 5" lips in the rear!I've been so confused with wheels for so long. Not seeing too many silver/blue gts' with rims made it tough to...
I was right. Just found this in earlier post. Don't let 50 bucks keep you from a beautiful set of wheels, and more importantly, don't let 50 bucks delay our group buy! HAHAHAHA. At the rate we're going, I may get these just in time to park the car for the winter!
I believe, as per Matt, that there is something like a $50 difference between the 7 and 10 set order price. Check with him to be sure!
He also mentioned some local interest which may increase the sets closer to 10.
Another VCA noob here who wants to second the thanks to Chuck Tator. I called him last friday during a snowstorm and he called me right back, and gave me almost an hour of his time for $100 in parts. Chuck is a true gentleman and someone who I look forward to doing business with moving forward.
As soon as the post went up, like last wednesday, I went to their site and put in an order as well. I didn't hear anything for 5 days and finally called them. They found my order and claimed to be out of stock and that I would be getting a refund. They then call me back half an hour later and...
