Sounds like your doing pretty good already...most people are just joking, so they can get a slightly sarcastic joking answer. to the few who are serious they can get a serious answer when they press the issue. Just tell them, "I dont let anyone who isnt married to me drive my cars, and even she...
life is good indeed! sometimes you just have to count your blessings. The other day i was scratcing my head trying to figure out how i wanted to arrange my GTS, my Jag and My GSXR in my garage...i'd been thinking about it all morning. And then i just stopped and laughed and had one of those...
Any chance that switching to a side exit exhaust layout would reduce cockpit noise while maintaining extior volume? I think side exit look wicked and wouldnt mind switching to lower cabin volume.
In my opinion you wheels look great just the way they are and you should leave them alone. the racer stripe around the edge of the wheels is played out and will make your wheels look smaller. The solid black makes your wheels and tires flow together and creates a much more menacing look...
GTS and yes its my daily driver. I took delivery of it in May and have been dailying it ever since (8000 miles so far). Its been great! comfortable, well dampened, trunk with enough space for random stuff, gorceries (yes it goes to get milk), and i can squeeze three leather duffel bags in the...
I'm always on the look out for Deer and coyotes...but if i hit one it would probably be at 90mph and i dont think it would be pretty. I hate driving at dusk, your lights havent started working for you yet, animals eyes dont reflect light, you cant see quite as well as you normally can and all...
thats just not true. When the GTS did a shoot out with a bunch of other sports cars (996tt, C5 Z06, NSX, etc) pre ABS system it beat them in every category except braking...it came dead last.
If you were to input the braking distance from tests with the ABS equiped vipers it would have been...
I've got BB headers and exhuast and it makes a great noise. i havent compared it to others in person, but it sounds great at idle, great wide open and manages to settle down to a volume were conversation is possible in the middle (2000-3000 rpm cruising). I have no cockpit heat at all...the...
I'm pretty late to this thread, but the Viper is definetly NOT an anti chick magnet. I've only had mine for two months and i've been flashed (once...but she was hot), chatted up, asked for rides and complimented by all kind of women (18-45). Women arent going to gawk and stare like a bus load...
I sure non ABS cars are fine...but when it came time to buy my own i didnt like the idea of a full lock up flat spotting panic stop in a no ABS car. I have tons of dear and elk and other critters that bolt out on the highway around here and good stabs on the breaks are common.
My car is only...
18000 miles on the car...although two months ago when i bought it there were only 12200 :) I have no idea what kind of tranny fluid is in it or when it was last changed...that is probably a good place to start.
I have tried rev matching but so far still grinding.
If 5th's synchro is bad...
Morning Gents.
I just got back home from putting another 1500 miles on the FE. FSJ to Kelowna and back, great trip, great roads...driving in BC is more entertaining than anywhere else I've had the pleasure of driving...the curves just never stop coming :)
But anyways, the reason for my...
Well i erased the code last night and put about 20 miles on the car and so far it hasnt reoccured. I'll just have to see what happens. If it continues to be a problem i'll have to delve deeper and maybe check out the wiring and sensors...Thanks to everyone for all the input, it got me a OBD2...
Yes. I have BB headers and Exhaust, they came with the car, the previous owner had them install and i dont know how long ago. The car had 12,200 mile on it when i bought it and now has 16,500 if that make any difference.
Alright. I picked up a good OBD2 scanner plugged it in and it immediatley thew up code#: P0155 O2 Sensor Heater Circut Malfunction (bank 2 Sensor 1)
thats the only error code. that doesnt sound particularly important to me but i'd like the forums input. For now my plan was to erase the...
I painted my garage last winter. It made a HUGE improvement to how the garage feels and how it feels to spend time in it.
Ceiling: White
Walls: 1 Lamborghini Yellow, 3 light charcoal grey
Floors: Painted Black (tough to keep clean, but looks good when it is)
how any one could own that car and restrain themselves to 337 miles over 13 years is beyond me. i'll put 300+ miles on my FE in a week.
that would be like dating/marrying a supermodel and then never F*****G the H**l out of her (excuse my french).
Thank you
well i will not be running the car until i get the code read. My brother has an OBD2 scanner that should do the trick (i should buy one). I will post the code up when i get for your deliberation.
Hi guys.
just fired up the FE leaving work and notice that a little yellow warning light had illuminated at the bottom of the black circle to the right of the speedo (i dont know what to call it).
The light has no text its just an illuminated outline of what to me looks like a...
Thanks for all the kind words. It was a great trip, i plan to keep rackin up the miles (i'm heading to kelowna in ten days) so hopefull i'll have more good experiences to share.
and yes i believe my FE is the only Viper in FSJ right now. i heard there was a red 2006 coupe in town last...

Back in January I bought my 2002 Viper GTS Final Edition from a dealership in Montreal. Faced with the problem of how to get it from Quebec to my home in British Columbia I had the choice of shipping it (boring) or driving it (fun). So the plan was hatched to wait for Canada to unthaw (this...
