Car is a 2000 GTS and I think totally stock. The pipes come out the back not the sides.
Remove the rear muffler. Weld straight pipes, H or X in it's place. Cost...
Update!!
I ran 122.865 mph at Napierville Dragway (NHRA) this morning. I don't think this result matches the dyno numbers of 412 RWHP. What do you think??

Also, if it was a Mustang Dyno instead of a DynoJet, you will get lower numbers than expected as they use different techniques for measuring HP.

I know that something is wrong with the numbers. As an example: you ran...
With a '97 GTS (S&B air filters, smooth tubes, cats delete and muffler delete), the results were the following: 412,0 RWHP and 446.1 RWT SAE CORRECTED
I am a bit disappointed!! I expected over 430 RWHP and 460 RWT. What's wrong with those numbers???
At a track, they average your MPH on the last 60 feet. The G-Tech gives you your exact mph at the end of the quarter mile. This explains the discrepancy. However, the E.T. is supposed to be accurate with a discrepancy of less than 1/10th of a second.
Since I don't expect to upgrade to 18 inches, what are the best tires I could buy. I think the choice is not very wide: Pilot Sport, Dunlop SP Sport, Kuhmo V700 (competition DOT Legal)...
Any thoughts???

BE CAREFUL with muffler shops. I know you mentioned 'competent' but make sure they have some Viper experience. My 2002 GTS rear bumper was ruined by a muffler shop. I thought I got a good deal on the work, but I ended up paying...
I would like to add also: Hawks brake pads (or EBC Greenstuff); Koni shocks and Eibach springs.
Finally, I would like to replace my Pilot Sport with competition tires DOT legal like the Kumhos V700 Heat Cycled.
Any other comments?
Ok! I've made a lot of research on the board (I know perfectly that there is a search engine) but I would like to get your thoughts on planned mods for a 1997 GTS which is bone stock at this time.
My questions aimed more at the cats and muffler delete since I know that the filters and tubes is...
I know the way to close it perfectly but the gap is still there. The funny thing is that I have already noticed the gap on many other Vipers (Gen I or II, it doesn't matter) and the gap is always only on one side. I am quite a perfectionist...

There is a little gap between the hood and the front bumber just besides the front driver headlight. Strangely, there is no gap on the passenger's side. I have noticed the gap on many other Vipers. Do you know how to fix it???
Thanks!
