    My Creampuff NA Build

Tony, I'm going to talk with him tonight. I know he wants to get your car done for you and he was talking about coming up very soon to do it. If this weekend doesn't look good, I doubt it will be an issue to push it off for a week or two. There's no point in rushing anything, I think he's...

Max muffler size in the sills?

In another thread within the SRT section we are talking about how to quiet our Vipers down for use on tracks with stiff noise limits. I have some ideas (see the other thread), but I dont know what will fit w/o taking everything apart and measuring, which I'm sure some of you have already...

    Track decibel limits

FWIW, I just heard back from Lime Rock Park, their noise limit is 88db.

Turbo Kits: Front Mount vs Side Mount

I think he MIGHT be talking about turbo location and you might be talking about IC location. :dunno: FWIW, my car has had both a front mount IC as well as twin side mounts. The twin side mounts have more core area which in turn drops the IAT. With the driving lights removed and some...

    OK, I am ready....

Does Ted have a car for sale??? :D

VOI , for those on the fence

Thanks Lee, but like Paul that posted after you, I would want one of my Vipers there to participate in all the fun. Hanging with the guys is great, but getting the car sideways and then hanging is a lot better IMO! Hauling from CT might be relatively cheap right now, but once all the...

    Track decibel limits

I came across your post while looking for solutions to quiet my car for use at Lime Rock, if it's even at all possible. I was thinking of adding Dynatech Vortex Insert Cones at the exit of the headers and then install the longest 3" muffler(s) I can possibly install in the sills. I doubt...

    Gen 1 Exhaust

Roy, you need to put a piece of pipe where the cat would be to delete the cat.

Has anyone had any problems with Hennessey Performance?

Stay far, far away for John Hennessey, his shop, and his cars! Too many people have had **** stollen off their cars and have paid for work/parts that were never provided.

    My Creampuff NA Build

Tony, I've very much enjoyed your write-up and detailed pictures. Thank you very much for posting everything as you've gone along. You're really inspiring me to do my NA GTS too! Is Frank doing the tuning?

Too far for this east coaster... hopefully the next go around will be much closer to New England!

    Enclosed Trailer Questions?

I can't get to ebay to look at the one you're interested in, but I recently bought an enclosed trailer myself. I think you're looking at the best all around size. I tried out an 18' and it was tight and left little room for any extras. 24' was really nice, but it was getting to be a...

    roll back trailer suggestions

I was looking for the same, but decided to upgrade to an enclosed trailer. I wasn't 100% about my decision, but after using it, I now wonder how I've lived this long w/o and enclosed! :D Also, check the used market, you can find some really good deals out there on trailers that have hardly...

First time to the track howd i do???

I think you just gave Twister a chubby by quoting viper ET's and trap speeds. :omg:

    My $75 tire rack/caddy

Slick idea! While on the topic, any ideas for a tire rack for the enclosed trailer that gets the tires up and out of the way?

It's on my Comcast system. Also ALMS at LRP is on at the same time on SPEED, 3 hr race.

1996 viper gts or 06 coupe

A 96 B&W is an absolute keeper. Upgrade brakes, wheels, etc and there's no comparison (IMO). If I were going to buy a newer car, I'd save my pennies for a gen 4 acr and skip the gen 3 altogether.

Who has removed the stock cats and mufflers with only the resonators?

On one of my gts's I have headers, no cat, resonator, out 3" side pipes... It's VERY loud. Painfully loud at times!

Viper pics from the track... thanks to Rob Stave!

I was up at Lime Rock Park in CT this past weekend at an event hosted by the Ferrari Club of America. Surprisingly (I say that because I was expecting the sterotype...), there were a decent group of guys there. Of course there were a few that had some really big checkbooks and thought Michael...

    ACR-X Photos - VIR

Looking quickly at their site, they say the first number is their tread width (in cm), the next is the diameter, then the wheel size. If this is the case, the 27 cm tread width (about 10.6") is MUCH narrower than the tread width of the 335/345 size tires (12.5"+). Is this right, or are guys...
