Garwood: Bucks County is a beautiful part of the country. Now onto the ACR. If you are looking for a nice weekend cruiser, you may not be happy with the car your "buddy" bought for you. He bought a "track car". But the good news is that you can prob sell it for a profit and then buy what you...
I'm no handling/track expert, but my racing buddies tell me that the Gen III is definately a better handling platform than a stock Gen II (stock vs stock). They also tell me that with my mods, my car will out handle a stock Gen III. ( $4-6K )
The Gen III has better fender visibility etc as you...
Y2K5: WOW, great post ! It took some time to put the post together, very nice job. Looks like a top shelf event. Wish I lived closer, I would love to attend and take a few laps around... Wish you the best turnout results.
I can only echo what everyone else has already said. That is the best looking SRT I have ever seen, it's beyond awsome or sick. There is a lot less available O2 in Savannah for sure ! I need to go lay down...
Joe117: You are really on to something there. I also have a theroy that the tires could be filled with an anti-matter mixture virtually rendering the entire vehicle weightless. The accelleration advantages are obvious, although I am still trying to get the Dylithium Crystals to properly align in...
Not to also rain on the parade, but along with only saving a few ounces (at the center of the wheel which is the least favorable place to save weight) the costs are somewhat scary (IMO)
$20ea = $480/set
$15ea = $360/set
$12ea = $288/set
$10ea = $240/set
$8ea = $192/set
Not implying that you...
Bullet dodged (no pun intended) The manufactures are always going to fight legislation like that. Although I'm sure it was aimed at the coffee-can crowd with the chop-stick sway bars.
RedDog: If he is cocky, that is probably why he still has it on his floor plan. There are plenty of cars "out there" to purchase, find THE ONE you want and everything else will fall into place.
I like vettes but GM's "claimed or projected" specs are usually adventageous to say the least. There are so many vettes around where I live that you see people drive them around in the winter. Dime-a-dozen, so to say.
RedDog: If you plan to do some mods, it may be better to find a car w/ them already done. If you want to do $8K in mods it will cost you $8K + labor, but if you buy them already done it will prob cost closer to $4-5K installed.
Just a thought.
RedDog: IF you are looking for an ACR, I think the price of $65K is reasonable. The miles aren't bad for a 5 year old car - LOL. Some things may come into play though for instance if your state still has Luxury Tax, etc... That car stickered for over $90K. I'm not sure how many miles Ray's car...
On a 80 degree day I still can't leave the AC on high because it gets too cold. I do wish there was an outlet vent on the left side of the steering wheel though...
I have never seen any model Bugatti in person, the EB110s are very cool, agreed. BUT where I live, I have also never even seen a Vanquish. I live in a muscle car meca, so maybe there aren't that many exotics per capita...
Baz: Great looking event, thanks for the pics ! I know your cars sounded different than anything else there for sure.
There is an Italian car show in town once a year and always dozens of really cool cars show up (most of the time with their respective egos riding within) but the cars are...
