IMO you have nothing to worry about.
I know Matt personally and I know he builds cars as if he was going to keep them.
I have seen several of Matt's cars and there isn't one of them I wouldn't recommend.
I believe Matt is making some race headers now and I bet they would sound great on that...
Do you by chance know your compression numbers in each cylinder before and after the rebuild?
Possibly your old engine had some piston blow by and your waste gate was set according to this.
I am assuming you have new pistons and rings. That combined with new valve seals would create better...
No, COTA didn't send me a bill,.. for anything. The city of Austin did send me a bill for getting checked out in the ambulance...:crazy2:
The people that worked at the track were probably some of the nicest people I've met at a track. They were very helpful and accommodating. They actually said...
My apology if I wasn't clear, rear knuckles broke due to an impact. Not a hard hit but an impact nonetheless..
When I saw how easy it broke, I ordered the bracket.
So you've never run over a tall or rough rumble strip on track? How about a curb...????
That's all it takes....
BTW....Bet your car ins. is really cheap. Especially since you've never had an accident, fender bender or any type of
automotive mishap...;)
But seriously, this IS a problem. It...
There is no doubt that the rear knuckle is basically made out of glass. Unfortunately I have broken several....:crazy2:
I can say from personal experience, any impact to the rear wheel/axle will will damage the knuckle. It's that simple.....:dunno:
For the last year or so, I have been using a...

This is what John had to say about 4-wheel speed sensors on a Viper.

FWIW... Unitrax will now rebuild your halfshafts with a better HD velocity joint along with other beef'd up parts.
I should be getting mine any day now.

Did you drop the valve down into the cylinder and hit the piston when the spring broke? That's the danger of a broken spring.
If one broke there's a good chance another will follow or not function properly.
Same thing happened to me. Luckily the valve stuck in the guide....
The good...
There is a solution. The Wavetrac diff.. It is also torque biasing like the Quaiffe but w/o the heat issue..
Better yet, the Wavetrac doesn't unload like the Quaiffe if one wheel comes off the ground. Like cutting the apex and
and bouncing the rumble strips. Add the fact that it has a...
Quaiffe is not a locker. It is a limited slip, torque biasing differential.

Devin at Unitrax is one of the most knowledgeable people I have talked to on this subject. He is the person that told me about the heat issue with Quaiffe diffs. I...
