who do you blow away and why

Don't launch very well...don't drive fast...don't blow anybody away...just enjoy the look....the feel....and the general satisfaction of driving such a wonderful automobile every single day. I get as much excitement as I can stand just toodling around town....looking over the hood of the car...

    mustangs

Vipers evoke a passionate response from many who share the road with us (and of course from all of us). The response varies from a thumbs up...to someone at a gas station clicking away with cell phone camera, to just wanting to see the beast accelerate hard. It's inevitable that others will...

    Which model year is best?

The question should be...which model year is best for me? Identify your personal needs and go from there. One man's meat is another man's poison.

    Spanked an E55 AMG today

Spanked a E55?????....good kill????????? You are comparing a 2 door sports car with a 4 door, 5 passenger luxury cruiser weighing (I am guessing) at least 700 pounds more than a Viper. What kind of victory is that????? Or am I thinking of the wrong Merc.....

WOULD YOU PURCHASE A NUMBER IF DODGE OFFERED IT

Interesting thing I found out about the FE GTS numbers...there were not assigned sequentially. For example, the build date for 324 was May 29, 2002, however FEs 264, 275, 301, 191, and 55 also have that same build date. FE 354 of the 360 was built 3 weeks earlier, and 101 and 130 three weeks...

    Parking Lots

I am particularly careful at grocery stores and mindful of abandoned buggies that could roll in my direction. I most often grocery shop at 7am on a saturday when the store is just opening and empty.

    Park it or drive it?

I enjoy it so much that I don't have another vehicle. Use it everyday in every way. Wouldn't tell anybody else how to use their's though. There's no right or wrong way to have a Viper. Do what makes YOU happy.

Interesting article on the USA's fastest cars

Re: Interesting article on the USA\'s fastest cars One Day I'll Have One I just drove back from San Antonio non-stop, 500 miles, in my GTS. I spent 8.5 hours in relative comfort. No worries. Didn't even notice absence of dead pedal.

    1166 mile roadtrip

I apologize ahead of time for the poor quality pics. My little cheapo digital was just not up to the task of taking nighttime photos. Got One's buddy Jefferson showed up with a striking yellow Lotus Elise. The unfortunate young lady serving at the Sonic actually preferred it to the 4 vipers...

New Member....Thought I Would Introduce Myself

Welcome to the site Gene The main reason I bought a 2002 was to find one still under the original factory warranty. First thing I did was purchase extended factory warranty which is good for 100,000 or July 2009 (whichever comes first). Unlike the majority of posters, I am mechanically...

    1166 mile roadtrip

I drove my Viper to San Antonio and back this week. The round trip mileage was 1166. On the way, I stopped at College Station to visit my son. Then on to Austin for a little business and I had the good fortune of meeting some other Viper owners, thanks to "GOT ONE". He generously made the...

    Skip shift...

I drive my GTS to work (1.6 miles) and around town in mostly light traffic, daily. I keep my rpms mostly in the 1500 rpm range, often less. I have found that if I wait a second or two after the "skip shift" light has come on...the light goes off and I can shift into 2nd or 3rd without having to...

A few pics from UK car show..............

It must about 25 years ago now...I lived just off Baker Street and worked on Curzon Street, near Berkeley Square, Mayfair. I was walking down one of those little mews type streets and there was this garage open...and you could see all these cups, trophies, flags, pictures and other car racing...

    What have I done!

Been driving my GenII daily since purchase 6 months ago. Grocery shopping, to work, through thunderstorms, for fun...it's all the same. I would guess (never driven one or even seen one)that a GenIII might be even better as a daily if that's your choice, as it was mine. One thing to...

    VEC2 chip

Good morning all I will be passing close to RSI in the Houston area. I don't have a lot of time...can't leave the car overnight or anything... Would it be worth investing in a VEC2 chip and having the car tuned (while I wait). Has anybody just added this type of chip and benefited in terms of...

Good morning all Viper running great. Going on long road trip in 3 weeks (S.E. Louisiana to College Station...to Austin...to San Antonio and back of course). Don't have an owner's manual. Just passed 20,000 miles. Is the car due for a major service check up? Put 3000 on it since purchase 6...

Need opinion on to supercharge or not!

Sometimes I feel the same way. Our FEs are almost identical in mileage. I am going to hold onto mine the way it is. But then my needs maybe different from yours and at my age with my skills/reflexes....all another 150 hp means to me...is a longer walk out of the woods after leaving the roadway.
