My question to all of you is:
Are the catless ones that are having fuel smell and noise issues all side pipe cars? And those that don't mind all rear exhaust cars?
I have been looking into tires too. I have a '97 (17") so my choices are limited to PS2's or the Kuhmos. I went with the PS2's for the simple reason that I know I will not be disappointed. I have heard good things about the Kuhmos, but if I did not like them I would have wished I had the...
Other than meeting emissions, why would someone install hi-flow cats instead of simply removing the cats altogether? For one thing, the heat that gets generated on the side sills is incredible. Does deleting the cats have a big impact on the sound of the car?:confused:
Reviving an old thread here. It has been almost a year. I am getting ready to replace my tires. Since I have the 17" wheels, apparently I only have two choices, Kumhos or PS2's. Anyone have anything to add since the last post. I am leaning towards the Kumhos.
I am glad you had a nice experience with Steve at Vipair. I did not. I ordered some carbon fiber door sill covers. After three weeks they never showed up. I called him. He said he just sent them out. Another week passed and he said he would return my paypal money (didn't send them out as...
The dealership took care of the steering wheel, shifter and e-brake. All in all it was a pain to take everything out and send it to him, but in the end the car looks the way it should. I'll get some pictures up here soon. Thanks for everyone's good advice.
I have a 2006 SRT-10 truck. Does anyone notice a valve train tick? It sounds alot like solid lifters. I checked the forums and everyone says they have the same thing. I never heard a SRT-10 Viper though. Dealer called it normal. I think it is odd with todays technology.
OK, let me clarify. I have a GEN 2 Viper and I actually have two areas of paint that are lifting. One is on the black sill part when you open the drivers door. The other is on the passenger side red painted side covers for the cats. From what I am understanding, the black sill area is...
The buzzing is only when the radio is on. It could be called static or a scratchy noise. It sounds like blown speakers. It doesn't do it with the volume off, but you can hear it at low levels like 4 or 5. How did you check for blown speakers? Are they available from Dodge or should I go to...
The system is all stock. It buzzes with CD and radio, but not all the time. The other thing is that it buzzes at low volume as well as higher volume. I have had blown speakers before, but usually they only buzz at higher volume.
My speakers are buzzing like they are blown. The problem is that it is all of them. I just recently got the car so I am not sure how long this has gone on for. I am tending to believe that it might be a loose connection on the radio or amplifier. Has anyone had a similar experience. The car...
The dealer contacted me this morning. He spoke with his interior guy. They said it could be stripped and redone. The car is from out of state so I would either have to strip it myself or take the parts off and send them to him. At least he is following up on this. Does anyone know how the...
I can speak for the 97 RT/10's. They are standard. Red for the red cars, and blue for the blue cars. They only made 117 RT/10's in 1997. I am not sure about other years.
