Stoptech or Powerslot or other rotors?

San Ramon. I believe I've seen your silver ACR at Dublin Dodge. Good luck with the brakes. There is a lot of info on that subject if you do a search here or feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Stoptech or Powerslot or other rotors?

Hello Ting, the 1 piece rotors from Stoptech are only $160 each and the 2 piece are around $240 so I think that price is for the 2 piece so double check. Even if you track once a year, brakes are a weak point on that car. I'd think about pads too while you're at it.

Stoptech or Powerslot or other rotors?

I don't think powerslots have 2 piece rotors like the Stoptech aerorotors. I don't know if prices you listed for the Stoptechs are for the 2 piece rotors but with an aluminum hat you get less weight and better heat expansion capabilities. Even if you don't track your car the 2 piece rotors look...

    2001 ACR Shocks on a 96 GTS?

You can order the Eibach kit for the Viper or if you want to get custom spring rates they may even be able to get some. Not sure if Hypercoil or H&R has the sizes. Make sure you match the spring rates to the stock Konis.

    sparco race seats?????????

The Sparco Revs at 57 cm wide at the shoulders are the narrowest but will only fit smaller framed drivers. The Pro 2000s are 59cm. Snake Oyl and Racecraft make brackets that are supposed to fit the stock mounting holes. I have been trying to find someone who has the STOCK DOOR PANELS with these...

    Trailering the SRT

Dean, looks like there is a couple inches of room or more on that trailer to accommodate the rear wheel track width vs. my kwikload. I thought they were all the same.

    What's my 97 GTS worth?

Re: What\'s my 97 GTS worth? I saw it on nsxprime. I like the color of your new ride and would get that or yellow if given a choice. I used to have a 92 black but did the reverse, sold it and got the Viper. Still curious what they will do with the next gen car, hope they give it at least 400 hp...

Saleen S7 test in light of recent Motor Trend Viper test

It's mid engine config should allow it to have naturally good balance when weight transfers forward under braking. Maybe tire grip (Pirellis) and too much front brake bias and NO ABS ???

    What's my 97 GTS worth?

Re: What\'s my 97 GTS worth? I think the price is fair. So you're going to just make do with the blue NSX for now ?

    How to measure breakpad thickness...

That means green. And minimum is anything less than that but with still enough pad material though I don't know why you would get a 'minimized' brake pad.

Lowered Vipers - How do they handle?

Lowering the car and keeping all other suspension settings the same will make it look nicer but I doubt that you will see or feel any significant changes in handling or improved laptimes. Having said that, lowering will lower the CG which affects things like weight transfer during transitions. A...

Anyone have picture of Black Anodized centers on CCW (Purner) rims?

My anodized blue aluminum rotor hats faded because of brake heat. The stock polished/clear coat 97 wheels yellowed for the same reason. Maybe the wheels, anodized black will keep especially if you don't generate heat. I recently powdercoated my track wheels steelgray with a clearcoat. It looks...

Sloan Kwik Load - 18 ft. vs. 20 ft.

The longer one may give you a lower incline angle for clearing the bottom lip of the viper. The front fairing is a good call. It saved my car from a tire carcass I ran over on the freeway. The thing cracked the fiberglass fairing but left the viper untouched.

    More poor dealer service

Blue Pilot's post certainly illustrates how bad service sours the whole ownership experience with DC and DC products. It's too bad because I think the Viper is a great product but a buyer reading this post would have to think twice about buying something that may cause episodes of frustration...

Speedventures: Roebling Road (May) & Sebring (June)

SpeedVentures holds great events. You also get the opportunity to bolt on a transponder and work on improving laptimes just like Viper Days. Try them out.

Anyone use a Sparco Rev in their car ??

REDSLED, did you see if the shoulder supports cleared the door panels? The Evo and Evo2 are wider than the Rev. An installation that I saw of the Pro2000 which is narrower than the Evo had to have the supports cut to fit. I want to avoid that if I can. Thanks.

Anyone use a Sparco Rev in their car ??

If you did can you tell me if the shoulder supports clear the door panels. Based on my measurements, it should but it is very close and the bolt placements on the floor would probably be a factor. If you have another competition seat that you use which clears the door panels, pls. let me know...

    Wheel Weight Differences??

The Forgelines supposedly weigh Front wheel 19x10 = 20lbs - Rear wheel 19x13 = 22lbs according to their website. I weighed my stock 17s a long time ago and I believe they weigh about the same as the Forgelines which makes the Forgelines light. Don't know about the HRE's. Check Speedstar which...

    Michelins and Viper days

You may still attend Viper Days and use whatever tire you choose to shod your Viper with even if it is not Michelin. What you will not be able to do is to get points for the Michelin Challenge Series. You will still avail of the great instruction and track time.

    96 GTS oil leaks

Recently my 97 GTS developed oil leaks, the problem is the leaks only happen after hot laps at the track. The leaks eventually stop and do not happen during street driving. I've tried going out and driving it hard on backroads, though I'm defifinitely not generating the g forces that Hoosiers...

    Ken Klickman Rules!

Ken Klickman and the folks at Timberline Dodge are an asset that I hope is recognized by Daimler Chrysler. You could think of them as Portland, Oregon's not so well kept secrets and makes the place one of the best places to live if you are a Viper Owner.
