I attended a car show today and I was amazed at how much people love these cars...almost as amazed as how many people think it has a V12 haha. Here are some pictures. I even won a trophy. Hell yea!
Steve at Autoform is definitely the one to see! I have his RT/10 spoiler. It looks great at really adds a little "something" to the profile of the car. I will be in Holland in June with my Viper. We should all meet up!
I stopped over at Autoform today and met the owner, Steve. He was a stand-up guy and definitely has the viper passion. He showed my dad and I around his facility. It was great to see all the stages of production. I have a real appreciation for the skill and craftsmanship it takes to develop and...
Thank you for the responses! The "Twist of the Writst" series was great. I am a bit of a nerd, so the technical aspects were some of my favorites. I am going to buy some of those books and do some reading. Good pointing out the importance of track etiquette! Good etiquette is definitely...
I want to get into doing some track days. I have a limited knowledge about some of the concepts. I played countless hours of Forza and Gran Turismo in my younger days:headbang:(okay current day too :D). I read the series "Twist of the Wrist" back when I was learning about motorcycle riding. Are...
It looks great! I will be in Holland, MI all next week. If I had my Viper there I would be over in a heartbeat. I can't wait to see the finished product. It would be cool to stop by and see how it looks.
Hi,
I purchased a used 2001 RT/10 and am trying to get the AC working. I noticed the compressor clutch was not engaging. On a closer look, I noticed the wires coming from it were cut. I found a connector with some shredded black and white wires zip-tied out of the way. I am guessing this got...
Haha, that's the first time I've heard that joke!
I made an appointment with my Viper tech for a new fuel filter. The Viper has not skipped a beat since this incident, but I will have him see if there are any fault codes stored. I will keep you all updated.
Thanks Tom! I will be in touch.
I have been enjoying the crap out of the Viper :). It's been a ton of fun. I let a boy at the grocery store sit in it and his mom took a bunch of pictures of him. I don't know who was more happy, the kid or me. These cars sure have a way of making people smile.
Thanks again for the replies. I really appreciate the advice. I think you are right about being a bit brave to take that long of a trip. I am just so excited to have a viper and drive it :).
Today I cleaned the IAC and throttle bodies. It no longer stalls out when I press in the clutch when...
I did a quick search to find more about the fuel filter and came across a post from member Joseph Dell from 2004. This exactly describes what happened to me. Is it possible that chugging for 180 miles at 1400 rpms caused the battery voltage to drop from not being charged enough by the...
Thanks for the replies! I have a few things I can check today. The scanner I ordered came on Saturday. It was in the mailbox when I checked it last night. I tried to get it synced up to my computer, but for some reason the cable wasn't recognized by my computer. It was a cheap eBay OBD2 cable. I...
I am not sure about a tune. The previous owner did not mention anything about tuning and I didn't see any invoices in the service records that mentioned a tune. Would a battery replacement delete a tune?
