The one thing that everyone needs to keep in mind is inflation. 60K... hell, 100K isn't even a lot of money anymore. 100K isn't even a half-decent luxury car entry point now. By today's standard, ALL Vipers were 150-200K cars when they were originally made.
This inflation battle is whats...
Its a pain in the ass I know, but I have no problem setting up differentials via mail order if someone wants. I have G3/4/5 case cores on the shelf, and can drop in a Wavetrac, Quaife or otherwise.
Mail you out a new one, send back your old one. Shipping will **** as it really should go...
Honestly, it would have very little impact on the cost of ownership, only purchase. The price of parts and everything else are still priced at what they need to be regardless. Its not like everything is going to go up in price just because the cars did... there would just be less complaining...
And again, another one, that just doesnt know when to keep something to themselves. Do you hate money too? Your attempts at proving how great of a deal maker you are, are unintentionally driving the market down, which is just going to come right back around and stick it right in your back-side...
Why does everyone insist on calling every Viper for sale "overpriced"? Its a 10K mile 28 year old car, that is VERY clean. Who cares what they are asking for it- if its a clean car, that means WAAAAAAY more than the price! 90% of these cars have some kind of issues or history by now, and the...
None of the above.
Its a branch stiffening tube for the wiring harness. It doesn't attach to anything, just helps the wiring harness retain shape and strength. Someone may have pulled it out a bit, they usually only stick out an inch or so.
Already can, for any version. It is however, currently not financially viable to do so while there are sufficient available repairable cores floating in the market.
But that said, if someone [theoretically] wanted something unobtanium built that there was no repairable core for... no problem...
I think you are looking at it the wrong way. And for the record, this has nothing to do with me.
First, how much time was spent by someone to track down the exact bulb used? Thats not free.
Secondly and most importantly, Viper parts businesses aren't Amazon. We dont make money on 10$ orders...
One can only hope... but unfortunately this market has more new owners that "know better" than ever before, and it's causing countless issues. Sad result of Facebook where everyone is an expert, and fall of the forums unfortunately.
I would suggest double checking the continuity of the wiring through the connector itself and make sure no wires are broken at the PCM or ICM, but beyond that... yes, sounds like there may be an internal issue here.
Hey guys,
Well, its that time of year again... pulling the cars out of storage, and also time of the year for damaged PCM's and other oddities as a result of doing so. Hopefully, this post will save some of you a headache, or at least get you sorted out faster if you do have problems.
The...
Have never used one, will never use one. Push up against the high side of the gear, release pressure, and make sure it doesnt move away much. Tighten bolt. Have a beer.
These are hall effect sensors... not rocket engines. These things operate on +/- 1/8 in most cases, and I don't like "things"...
As steve said, now you need to figure out if your ASD wiring and relay are intact and operating properly.
Crank and Cam are really the only sensors that are critical to ASD/FP activation. Even with a bad or disconnected MAP, it will usually start and barely run/pop/bang if I recall as it defaults.
Cliff notes: unless it's a Gen5, you are better off parting it out than putting it back together. It won't be worth enough when it's done to justify the cost of doing it... and thats CRAZY for a car that there are so few examples of left.
Vipers should ALL be north of 100, and it would all make...
That tends to happen when they build more Corvettes in a single year than they do Vipers... Ever.
The whole "tax" thing drives me insane. Low production parts have high price tags. Period. No way around it. If there was actually that much money to be made in the Viper market, vendors wouldnt be...
