How do I get a feel for a Viper before I commit to buying?

I bought my Viper without driving it first. I also had to back it out of a narrow, enclosed delivery truck because the driver was too fat to fit into the car, which had its driver's door only half open due to the truck's tight space. That wasn't a pleasant experience, but I managed to unload the...

    PO441 Pending & PO443 Codes

I did check to make sure it's tight. I ordered a new gas cap last year when the code appeared and have been using that one just to be sure. I turn the cap until it clicks several times. The seal looks good.

    PO441 Pending & PO443 Codes

My '02 Viper had a PO 441 code last year and I cleared it. It didn't come back on until now (about 1500 miles since). This time I got a PO441-P accompanied by a PO443. The car runs great. I cleared both codes, but I'm unsure whether to continue ignoring the issue or take it to a shop for repairs.

    New owner of 2002 ACR

Congrats on your new-for-you Viper. I have a 2002 RT/10 and even without the short throw shifter, reverse is tricky for me, too. I usually end up in fifth and then find reverse from there. Get ready for the thumbs up from other cars, fan photos, etc. It's a great car to own...timeless.

V10 Dodge Viper v V8 Challenger: DRAG RACE

I got some much-needed chuckles while watching these two Brits drag race a Gen 2 Viper against a Dodge Challenger. The video is 11 minutes long, but you can fast-forward to the races (3) if you prefer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUKJ3Y0X2jg&ab_channel=carwow

DIY and/or part number for replacing temp sensor?

I've ordered from Mopar Parts Giant before. Sometimes they list a part as in stock, but you find out later that they don't have it. Rock Auto has some good deals on Viper parts. They have the sensor, but it's $117, which surprises me since it's more than Parts Giant.

Same problem here in Greenville, SC. I have found several reputable shops that have done good work on my '02 Viper. I'm sure others from the forum will respond.

    Gen 2 96 R/T alarm dismantle

It might be helpful to explain "pretty touchy." Understandable if it's an aftermarket alarm, but not a stock alarm. At least not to me, anyway.

Maybe it was an American working in a Mexican shop. Google search: Each day, hundreds of thousands of people cross both sides of the border legally to work, live, or visit close relatives and friends. In addition, an estimated 1.6 million U.S. citizens live in Mexico and Mexico is the...

    Oil Filter Recommendations

I've always used the OEM Viper oil filter (5037836AB) but I've been having difficulty finding them. When I do, they're running around $25 shipped, which seems overly expensive to me. Can someone recommend an alternate oil filter for Gen ll Vipers?

Question about coolant change on my 1997 GTS with 16k miles

When I bought my '02 Viper six years ago, there wasn't much maintenance history. I had all fluids replaced. New plugs and wires too. A billet aluminum power steering bracket and pully added as well. I'm sure you'll hear more from others on this forum. Congrats on the car. Oh, and you should...

    My viper conundrum

I drive my 02 Viper once or twice weekly, averaging 2500 miles annually. I've had mine for 6 years and used to worry about dings, cracked headlights, windshields, etc. No longer. I drive it and enjoy the ride as often as I can. When on interstates and other highways I'm careful about driving...
